Monkey World Garage project

See we can all get along :D

I will get some pictures of the machine i have lined up to go in my garage. I bet there are not many people who have one in their garage.....

Hear you go its old but works great. (this is not the actual one just a pic off the net) It has power feed in X Y and Z axis and digital readout in all 3 axis. I have also got a rotatory table for it witch is a great piece of kit. I will/might be looking at retro fitting CNC controls to it in the future.

Blimey jeeebus. That is a serious bit of kit Matt!

I drove through oxford four times in the last week but I've had no time to stop sorry!

Very productive day in the great weather yesterday. Just been rained off

Hopefully just a shower as I have big plans for today!!!

Hope the rain stops for ya Matt. Keep up the good work.

It did it did :) very busy day just finished ridding up. So obviously dark so no photos of today but I have a little update I will post tomorrow.

But basically all the tiles are on  Both gables are rebuilt and one is half re pointed. My hands are sore my body is sore I feel totally knackered but very happy  hot bath a few beers donated from the great guys next do to my place Wychwood brewery. Scurry top gear and bed for this Monkey.

Am suffering serious Garage envy at the moment. Having lost out on a couple of houses all with decent vehicular repositories, I then travel to New Hampshire for a work training course, get invited to go snowboarding with a colleague then go round his house to find out he has more square footage in garage space. than I have IN MY ENTIRE HOUSE - INCLUDING MY GARAGE
:x :headbang: :x :headbang: :x :headbang: :x :headbang: :x

Back on topic, it's looking good, and once you get the lighting sorted and the machines in will be a man shed of much awesomeness.

Our American cousins dont have the same problems as us with space. Try not look and upset yourself!!

Ok so hear are some pictures from Saturday. I did work all day Sunday but it was dark when i finished and not good for pictures
The roof is almost finished now i just have the ridge tiles to put on. And the stone work on the front by the doors.

This is the other side it actually all tiled now. I was on the roof yesterday and it was very gusty the inside of pants had skids!!!

And the stone work as of Saturday. I actually managed to connect the sides and re point the space in the middle Sunday. So I can finish it all from a ladder and no need for the scaffold.

Hopefully about 6 weeks more work it will be complete and the driveway paved as well!

What does something like that go for these days Matt?

The one i am getting is in better nic than the one in the picture. and it has a DRO for all 3 axis I suppose with the vice rotary table around 3k. I am not saying what i am paying. But the guy i am buying from is helping me out a lot  You can pic up smaller stuff for a lot less. Are you looking/ I could help out if you are?

Looks spot on

After having some time off resting and suffering a life threatening case of monkey flu! Well a sniffle and a few sore joints!! I got back on the renovating wagon tonight!!

Woke up feeling ok had a good day at work. Only had to shout once taught some people stuff had a good lunch. Everything is going great got home started work on reprinting a gable wall. Had a beer listing to the radio doing some work perfect :)

Got loads done now if only I could hold back this early 30s spread I am suffering from life would be tip top. Mother Nature is a cruel mistress I have the apatite of a 19 year old and the metabolism of a sloth

Night forum I am off to watch a film and then sleep.

Night night xx

Nighty Nite back at yah ...

Bumpy ....

(psst Hey Z4 Formers ...See the Monkey does sleep sometimes !!!)

Ha ha i do sleep just not enough!!

So i have been fairly busy not got as much done as i hoped. But i am gearing up for a big push this bank holiday. I have a fair bit of time off from Wednesday to next Thursday. The plan is to get the drive way done and the the last bit of stone work.

Anyway i managed to get most of a wall racked out and re pointed. Its a simple enough job just very labor intensive and boring. Also made the little hatch so i can sore my ladders easily upstairs.

Then built a wooden door for the area where my compressor acro props and other stuff i dont want in the workshop will live. Had all the old timbers from the old roof knocking about so i built the raised flower bed (stone storage at the moment)

Next update should be a goodie and i should be all but done :)
