Have you got any examples on the 2.0?

I dont make anything for the 2.0l as its very different. With 2 pipes joining into the one Oval pipe. I have made an oval cover, I have also made up pipes to weld on to the back box but the oval part would need cutting off.

I would be happy to help you or make either. But i would need you to come to my workshop for it to be custom made.

Hi mate,

I'll take the set you have for the facelift, assuming they're the same size for the 2.5?

Cheers.

I am not 100% sure of the size of the 2.5l Pipes. If you pull the tip off (they are held by spring clips or a screw underneath) And just measure with a rule and if they are around 60mm Then they will fit.

If not get the measurements and i can always make a set to fit

I've just order mine when I fit it I will post a pic but I think it will be a week or so when my mate can weld it on for me.

Hey Mat,
top job! they fit very well and look fantastic. great quality product and worth every penny. I will talk to you later in the spring to look at getting an exhaust mod done.
Thanks Mat. :D

All,
First let me say that I love my MM tips, and would not give them up for the world!
A lesson to pass on - pulling away from worl last week I heard this loud metallic rasping sound. My first thought was - "That can't be my car, no way". Someone standing next to the car, said "Oh yes it is - it's coming from the back of your car".
Close inspection revealed that one of the set screws which keeps the SS tips attached to the exhaust pipe had come a little loose, and was allowing the tip to rattle around on the pipe, even to the point where it could slide back and forth on the exhaust pipe. I was glad that the tip did not fall off.
No big deal - but, be sure as a part of routine checks - check the tightness of the set screws. It is now easy to see how they might vibrate loose with time, as might any fastener.

When I fitted mine I also used a drop of thread-locking fluid just to prevent what you have just experienced. The thread lock seal around the set screw can be easily broken to allow removal of the tips for cleaning with no problems

I was going to include locking nuts but then their has to be a long bolt. And it can be visible (probably only if you lie on the floor!!)I am happy to send you the longer bolts and 2 more nuts if you want to try that SB?

MM - Thanks for the generous offer, but no need. I am going to use a drop of Loc-Tite (thread lock) this weekend (thanks Swiftly). We use this stuff all the time - and I'm sure it will do the trick.

Had a nice surprise when I've just got home from work my tips are here, was expecting them tomorrow hopefully get them put on sooner if I can can't wait now am like a kid a Xmas. :D
