Mad for it. Great days driving. Looking forward to some beers tonight then more driving tomorrow even though the audible speed limiter in the passenger seat seems to be on permanent whinge mode

You need to use the button just behind the right ear - give it a bit of a slap, as it can be a bit sticky.

Very jealous - looking forward to the pics, have a great time

Great first pics but i think there is something missing....a coupe shame on you Scottish coupe owners by letting the pram tops have it all their own way :poke:

You daft buggers - I know they've all got wagon tops but did you have to circle them? Bet you all ran around making whooping noises like red Indians too?!

It was Nosa's idea

Just in the process of uploading the few photos we managed to take before the camera battery died on us (although bizzarely it worked when I got home :headbang: , still new ones ordered from fleabay).
Great meeting the old faces and some new ones hope you thought the trip down to my neck of the woods was worth it.
Some great roads along the route though I do say so myself  but the best bit was the fact there was so little traffic, it was unbelievable at times that and the roofs down for the entire weekend.

Thanks everyone for making it a great weekend even at my limited pace  .

First off, before I go into a Rant of what a fantastic weekend we have just had I would like to Thank Richard for choosing what can only be described as a spectacular route. Some of the best driving I have ever had in my car was gained this weekend, and he saved the best for last, The A702 between Thornhill and Elvanfoot Was driving heaven, we got a virtually empty road on 16 miles of tarmac ribbon which cuts through the glens with wide open sweeping bends hitting apex after apex Just spectacular Thanks Richard :driving: :driving: :driving:

With the exception of our drive to the meet point in Moffat we had our roofs down all weekend, the sun came out for us again this weekend, both Amanda and I have got slight sunburn :D

Suffice to say we had a great weekend wih great company, great roads and scenery and good laugh.

Looking good mate! Currently just sorting out my photos.

Need to echo Nosa's sentiments - one of the best meets to date with amazing roads which were practically empty! Thanks again Richard.

Here's a video of the A702 taken on my iPhone. Sorry about the bumpiness - my camera holder (i.e. SWMBO) isn't very steady!

More photos to come later

P.S. sorry about the occasional crap comments!

Not long in the door. Programmed the sat nav to take the shortest road home, which made an interesting hoon on the way home over some more great roads :)

Big thanks to Richard for organising a spectacular run, and showing fantastic cruise etiquette. That blast on the A702 was heaven. DTC on  To say it was 'spirited' driving would a slight understatement :) LOVED it :)

I'm sunburnt too from all the roof down action. Too tired to upload photos, but Kirsty got some crackers! And I got a good one with us all in the pub enjoying a Guiness with out Paddy hats on :)

Great weekend, great company and good to meet some new faces as well at catching up with some familiar faces.

Nosa needs some practice at Yum Yums

To wave some willies to Moffat we sped
Each in a shiny lathered zed
2 days of hooning, 2 days of fun
Blue skies, no clouds & plenty sun

At the highest village in the land
Just one happy zed 4 band
The mennock pass(ed) - a Thornhill lunch
We're now a well fed top down bunch

Portpatrick on paddy's day - it'd be rude not to
Anyone know where the Guinness hats got to ?
Seafood platters, chips, just lots
Malts & beers & liquor shots

A cap was purchased - "Skipper" it reads
The new team mascot - for one who leads
To be passed along at future drives
For years to come as the forum thrives

Circle the wagons in a quarry like spot
Watch out for an ambush from the coupe lot
Straight back to moffat ? someone said
Or coffee at Skips ? - examine the shed

Some willies were waved - to moisten the heather
As girls stood around for a bit of a blether
The end of the trip, a road truly supreme
The fast & the flowing - The Pass of Dalveen

Jack, That is brilliant

:happyclap: :happyclap: :happyclap: :happyclap: :happyclap:
