OK, who's let their other half loose on the forum?! :P

Have a good one folks - I'm down in Canterbury this weekend. At a 90th birthday party. Great. Not jealous in the least. Grrr...

That'll be our Jamie, canny keep his woman under control, Do you think she realises he will have the Pish ripped for it

Been out today and eventually did a recce on the first bit of the run from Moffat, the actual road to it is shut but should be open by the weekend so did it in both ways as I had to do it initially from the wrong side.
As Muppet stated it is single carriageway and certainly no worse than anything we encountered on Islay last year, it only gets really narrow in one spot, that said I was sitting between 50 & 60 for the most part and that was very comfortable, if the sun makes an appearance I think it will be well worth it and could well be our first photo stop after a mere 20 miles or so.
We'll just need to watch out for the sheep.

Hopefully should have a four car convoy heading down from Kincardine.

I'll be coming from furthest north, joining creamcakeclarky in Dundee, if he answers PM.... , then meeting Jonnymito and Nosa further south.

Still need to print the route, and might need to dig out the sat nav incase I get lost

Don't be daft - I don't allow my woman anywhere near a computer...

What are the arrangements for meeting the Glasgow/Lanarkshire crew?

Open to suggestions Jamie.

I don't know the roads too well down that neck of the woods. Could meet on M74 somewhere, or any other spot that might suit?

I think Jack had suggested the southbound Bothwell services on M74 which is as good a place as any. Will have a look later if I get a chance tonight.

Sounds good to me

Nosa can lead the way, as I will probably get us lost if I'm left at the front :(

Just talking to SWMBO and we may get there early and have a nice healthy breaky in the cafe on the high street.

Jack in response to your PM, lunch is the one thing concerning me not sure where to do it as not that many places on route, but definitely one of the pubs on the waterfront for an evening meal and hopefully watching the mighty English stuff the Irish after Scotland pick up the non metallic spoon and begin the search for a new manager :poke: :fuelfire:

Yes - I think Bothwell SS is as good as - and there's another non motorway entrance to it - though not needed for those travelling from the North anyway. Someone want to suggest a time - 9 ish or earlier ?

Have sent a PM separately to Nosa, Jonnymito and creamcakeclarky. Will meet you all at Bothwell.

Kirsty is working late on Friday night (actually finishes 2am on Saturday morning!!), so we will be pushed to leave my house much earlier than 7am.

Will be able to make good progress down the main roads without stops, and takes the pressure off a little if we're not meeting up with Steve and Jonny before getting to Bothwell.

Only 3 sleeps left

:driving: :driving: :driving: :driving:

I nipped in to clarky's today after work, but he wasnt around. Will try catch him tomorrow. Anyone heard from him? Do we know if he's coming?

If he isn't contacting you with PM replies I would make the assumption he will be a no show, But he does have the meet details so may just turn up at Moffat.
