Dave did you drive anything else between your Fiat Coupe and this?
(I didn't)
Yes, quite a few after the second 20vt including a Clio 172, Celica Gen 7 190 and Sports M, Caterham Supersport (owned 7 years), E46 330D, Boxster S 986, 911 Carrera 3.2, Elise S1 and a few more mundane things, usually there was an overlap where I owned two or more of them at once. The Caterham converted me to rear wheel drive :)

Bought at 80k, now 101k after 4 years.

Big maintenance jobs:
Replacement cams, top end rebuild, vanos overhall, bearing shells

Bought it in January 2014 with 22500 on the clock so I've had it nearly 4 years. I think I'm just about to get to 43k IIRC so that's about 5-6,000 per year.
Stevo

Bought mine June 2015 at 52000 and is now on 61000 it’s smiles per gallon. Drive it, that’s what it’s for. Garage Queens cry when ur not there.

Still enjoying the car? i know its gone though some pretty expensive changes.

Almost 3k in the 6 months I’ve had it.

I love the thing, keep thinking of selling both cars and going Boxster but I don’t think I can bring myself to sell the M, something says I’ll regret it.

Don’t do it John. The Normandy trip taught me so much more about mine and I couldn’t let it go now! :driving:

I think there’s untapped potential in it Paul, it’s too stiff and I’m itching to change spring rates to soften the rear. I’ve been talking to Exdos, his thinking is right on my wavelength, his set up sounds perfect. I think it would be a missed opportunity to sell it without exploring the chassis, something tells me it ‘could’ make it far too good to let go of.

Changed the suspension on mine last year to the cheaper Bilstein/Eibach fixed rate setup, after much prompting by ExDOS, totally transformed the car, it's how it should have come out of the factory really.

I've got total confidence in the car now and can fling it round corners like my (much missed) supercharged MX5

Yeah really enjoying it. I've just done changes incrementally and have all the mods I listed on the other thread ready to go. I keep considering Porsche but I'm kind of moving away from the mentality of spending near the limits of my car budget. There's so many great cars like the Z4M which are relatively affordable but no less fun in the real world compared to 70-80k cars.

Having just turned 30 I'm now looking to put more money into investments and hopefully go to work because I want to rather than because I have to. More important things in life than cars after all.

Mine is on 117k. Bought with 83k two and a half years ago.
