MG roadster

Some eagle eyed people spotted this in the background of one of my posts only its now black.

Bought it about 10 or so years ago now, and honestly cant remember why but can remember spending weeks looking up and down the country.
Found this one in Cornwall and owned by a Doctor at the time, Not that that make much difference.
This is how it looked when i first got it home.

and that's how it stayed for a few years, There was a few jobs that i always intended doing drivers side rear wing and been welded on all wrong and the seats where shot.....

Funny thing is ive been lucky enough before a mortgage and life/bills came along to have a few nice cars over the years AC Cobra not a real one  couple of tvr,s a m3 EVO and a few others along the way including a 1985 guards red 911 coupe they were cheapish then wish i still had it now :headbang:
All now gone but the MG just hung on in there.......

One i was board so i decided to take the old seats out a get recovered only when i lifted them out the carpets also fell apart :?
Sort of snowballed and i ended up with it looking like this.

Stayed that colour up until a month ago where in failed its mot on rotten sills :( The last few years it was neglected a bit picking up plenty of battle scars along the way, so to replace the sills all the interior had to come out again and it started all over.
Looking at them photos maybe i should have kept it blue but it never looked as good as them photos as it did then, the paint sorted of dulled over the years.
Anyway its black now and to late, I,l get a few more pics tomorrow of its looking now.
Still unfinished the boat rack as long gone and thinking of fitting minilight alloys to it a more sporty look rather than gramps classic.
Funny of tastes change over the years :D

Get the pics up, what a lovely car, personally I like the original colour and bonnet but each to their own, a beauty non the less 8)

It my not be original, but I like the blue!

Also like the idea of Minilite wheels - they were just so period in the 60s/early 70s.

Hope you get it sorted, and get to use it more this time round!

I'm full of admiration for anyone who can restore a car outside!

Nice colour, looks like an MGC lookalike.

Not a clue what model it is but clocked it on my drive home today , my neighbour opposite also has a mint red one I will get a pic next time its on the drive

I like the blue but that car needs to be original colour.

I have to agree, was it primrose yellow ?

It was when i bought it, Its an orginal mg colour (primrose) but not on this car originally it would have been orange or at least that's the colour behind the dash.

Looking at the floor pan picture they did a good job of the colour change to primrose then

I think it looks great in blue, the primrose looks nice but hate the eyelashes..............so American, the C bonnet is marmite but I like it, would be even better with the straight six though :D

I shall dig out a photo of my old 1974 MGB and post it, anyone else owned one?

I doubt they even had servo assisted brakes, let alone power steering!
