I have never been impressed that their own website they state "..With our MEYLE-branded products we supply extremely reliable and durable automotive spare parts manufactured at our own production sites and at trusted production partners..". To me that suggests that the parts are not always produced by MEYLE and therefore you do not know who is producing them.
Welcome to the modern day automotive supply chain. A huge proportion of every car is not made by the OEM but it was built to their specifications (developed in collaboration with third-party suppliers). Same with the tier 1 and tier 2 etc. suppliers. Ultimately you come down to nuts, bolts, bearings etc. all manufactured by specialists. If you've never heard of Magna Steyr its worth looking them up. I believe the are the largest automotive supplier in the world. They actually run the production lines for many OEM's including BMW, Mercedes and JLR. So the OEM sells cars that haven't even been assembled in their own plants.
