Totally different cars, and at totally different stages in there lives and price points.
Never owned a Maserati,i have owned most things but m not that mental... They go wrong a lot and are astronomical to repair.
I loved my Z4MC.... It was a flawed genius, the suspension is crap, gearbox isnt great and it costs a lot of money to run if your using it as a daily like i did.It did look lovely though and i would have another as long as it was right money with right spec..
I now have a F type..
It costs twice as much as the coupe, but then again its 9 years newer,so it will lose more money...Its in other area's where the jag could save you money.
Mine is mapped and is around 400bhp,The 8 speed gearbox works very well and is a nice place to be.The tech is obviously a lot newer, fit and finish is nice.
You could easily bang in a 400 miler and get out fresh, whereas the coupe would need you calling a Chiropractor.
It would leave the coupe for dead in most places, they are suprisingly fast
Its pretty frugal, doing around 22mpg on the commute and can crack 40 mpg on a run. Its also much cheaper to tax and insure than the Coupe.
Servicing bounces between £330 and £430 on opposing years (Jaguar main dealer) ..In fact parts are cheap in comparison with no "M" tax... Front pads and discs are £200 for example from the dealers,as opposed to £500 or so for Coupe.
Bad points... Handling isnt cutting edge, feels rolly in comparison although the steering feels greats and nicely weighted.
