MC on PH Auction

My M coupe didn’t have heated seats. Didnt bother me at the time but wouldn’t have a car without them now.

Is your spreadsheet viewable?

It's only at £18,750 with just 40 minutes left!

At that sort of money it would be a good buy, but I'd want to get quite a lot done sharpish given how little it has been used or serviced. Stuff like bearing shells and an Inspection 2 for starters.

:o
So are some people totally deluded, or just plain greedy? Or both?
"basically brand new". No it isn't, it's a 19 year old car which is at least £25k overpriced.

I really struggle not to contact sellers like this just to find out how they tick. It wouldn't end well so I don't bother.

Picture of the service book shows only 3 services, same as the E86. Maybe that's the answer......save thousands on servicing over the years and then sell your car for thousands over the market value. It's a plan, I suppose.

Well at £19,750 it's around market price imo.

If it goes for over 25 I'll be shocked.

It didn't reach reserve. Final bid was £22k. Another greedy git!

Beat me to it! Doesn't show as sold so presumably had a higher reserve.

Those wheels look gash as well!

And now gone from the site as far as I can see. Doesn't come up under 'Sold' anyway. We've still got one for that sort of money if I can prise it from Ann's fingers - in for an Ins2 next week ;)

Then I can get a McLaren :)

Your better off with an ///MC. Much more special.

On servicing and history this needs to be set against everything else you can determine about the car. For example, I have a Honda nsx with 14000 miles. It’s 29 years old. Two owners and me since 2005. I had it serviced up to 2010 by Honda Bristol but they were shocking. I then found Kaz (a Japanese guy who is the known expert in the U.K.). The car has been there in 2013/15/17 but I have been waiting ever since for my second engine refresh (engine out everything done). So since, other than one fluids by him in 2023 as an emergency and me doing oil changes annually myself it’s had nothing. It’s next in line to be seen (cars go in and can be there for a year as he is a zen master and won’t accept second best). I am hopeful but then I have been hopeful of getting it done since 2020. So in the meantime my “service history” looks terrible but in fact given how it’s used and the fact that it goes to him will give it a clean bill of health. In fact all I need to say in the advert is “maintained by Kaz” and despite the gaps I would expect it to sell immediately for a top price. And before you say “go elsewhere” it’s a Honda Nsx and there are no specialist other than plans performance and I don’t trust them as much either……having a bmw is sometimes very useful.

Does a McLaren even fit on the roads in Devon? :poke:

Probably not actually - they have got wide. The 12C is thinner, but I thought the GT/570GT would be more 'useable'. Besides, I'm in shropshire now (which is little better) and it would be my daily :)
