Good god don't come to the Cotswolds!! Not unless your off the booze!!

I have relatives that live in Quenington.

Last time we was there we went out to a "gastropub" locally... Beer was mega money as was the food..

And i was crap...

Review over....

I expect we will see this time and time again popping up on ebay. Anyone with a bid of £4k will back out first time they see it if indeed they even bother going to view.

Now machine monkey, tell me more about your rear mounted turbo plans? I understand why you would do it as its a whole lot easier to mount given the space in an engine bay, but surely it will be a nightmare in terms of running of oil lines (should you need them) and indeed the return line back to the intake? Not to mention vacuum lines etc that all go with it...

Its not a space issue as in there isn't any under the bonnet. There is loads of space. Its more to manage temperature and not to cock and heat soak everything.

I dont have a standard exhaust and once the battery is relocated and the box removed there is a big space. Just right for a turbo oil cooler an small oil tank and if needed a pump for the oil. The length of pipe from the turbo back to the engine works out about the same volume as a front mount inter cooler. And the aluminum return pipe work acts as inter cooler effectively.

This isnt a new idea its been done for a long time. Its getting fashionable now. And it works better on larger displacement engines. There lots of ways of doing it.

I will be working on a twin remote turbo set up on my mates 4.0v8 supra this year. He is aiming for 650bhp (everyone likes figures) If it works for his and i can save up the cash. Mine will be getting something similar.

It would have been the right thing for him to come on here and update us.
Of course he's not obliged to but it would have been the right thing to do.

Yep, that would have been the decent thing to do considering all of the support given to him ..............

Well it's not going to be mega posh!! I think 2k tops depending on how it goes with ECUs and injectors and glue pumps.

......the young lady he brought to the England/Wales meet :titshake:

You're obsessed! You mention her every time I see you :P

It's sad to hear that's it's not going to be finished. I hoped the best for it even though I didn't think it looked great.

I'm not sure the money donated was ever to "finish" the project, £1k doesn't go far and I'm sure I recall him being very clear it was going towards replacing the stolen alloys?

Either way, I'm not surprised he hasn't come back to let people know, he doesn't owe it to anyone and got more than his fair share of s**t...
