Malaysia Airlines Plane

I'm thinking ......possibly shot down by accident and everybody is covering it up .......
Its not the first time ....... Iran Air flying into Dubai, got whacked accidently by the Americans .... at least they owned up to it

Now they've said the last communication from the plane happened AFTER the transponder shut off began. If that's the case it's definitely the pilot.

Just a guess but I'm guessing the flight simulator taken from the pilots house confirms he was practicing avoiding radar and maybe even landing on short runways

its been said on something i was watching the transponder isnt broadcasting and would have to be turned off manualy with the back up systems

........ let me get this right ....
Ive been hearing since the 1960's that the Americans can detect, track and destroy any missile fired from anywhere in the world ...... hmmmmmm
:?

Inside job, someone with a lot of technical knowledge of the jet to make it invisible. Which circuit breakers to pull etc, etc

It is very easy to forget exactly how big the planet we live on actually is...

Easier to comprehend when watching the Live from Space programmes currently running on C4.

I had perhaps one of the most surreal conversations with a fellow work colleague today.

She is going on holidays to Thailand next month but is afraid as there is a rouge plane somewhere in the sky........

I read a really interesting theory put forward by a Pilot ......

He maintains that all experienced pilots are aware at all times of a airports/runways in their vicinity ..... he says that if you look at the area, the turn they made lines up directly with a 13000 ft runway close by.
He then theorised that they would only make this manoeuvre if there was an emergency on board ...... and looking at the events he surmised that it was probably an electrical fire.

Standard procedure would be to pull all the bus breakers and then re-connect them one at a time to find the cause. This would switch everything off including the transponder.

Apparently using oxygen masks with a fire in the cockpit is a no no, and unless the fire was quickly contained, the crew would be overcome and lose consciousness

The plane would then carry on until it either ran out of fuel or flew into the sea .....

Its the only explanation I have heard that makes amy sense so far .......

Yep, read this too. Could make sense, he doesn't adequately quell the hijacking scenario (so could still be an option), but a lot more sensible than a majority of the ignorant speculation from the masses. Here's the article for those interested.

Plenty of holes in that Chris Goodfellow scenario too mind:

1) After overflying Langakwi radar evidence shows manouvers inputted by someone on board turning sharply at VAMPI and GIVAL waypoints, past Langakwi, where that theory relies on the pilot being incapacitated by that point.

2) The Inmarsat pings recieved at 8:11am put the plane in one of two air corridors, neither of which correspond with the heading from the last known location to Langakwi, suggesting after overflying, human input MUST have occurred.

3) A fire that is able to fulfil the following 4 criteria is implausible bordering on impossible.
a) Time itself to perfection shutting down transponders/comms systems startlingly close to last radar contact point
b) Strong enough to do all damage specific enough to take out all communications systems perfectly in one go, but not touch a single censor, wire, navigation tool or flight control system
c) Bad enough to kill the crew and passengers but not hamper the airframe in anyway
d) Put itself out incapacitating the crew, allowing the plane to fly on itself for another 6 or 7 hours

Sadly it's a lot easier to debunk other theories rather than find one without any holes in it. Yet to see a single theory that doesn't have flaws. In the words of Sherlock Holmes "Once you have discounted the impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." Therein we will find the answer.

Car forums seem to be full of quite knowledgable aircraft people....this one and the babybmw forum have similar threads.

I guess people who take an interest in cars are probably the same sort who take an interest in all things mechanical/technological to some extent 8)

I saw an interesting episode of air crash investigation not to long ago thinking about it where the pressurisation controls were set to manual instead of auto.. When the plane climbed to a certain altitude everyone began to blackout except for one or two individuals. Above greece from memory.. By the time jets were scrambled, there was one guy standing and not for long. The plane carried on along it's trajectory until it ran out of fuel.

Why I watch this show when I fly so often I don't know but in a strange way it's comforting/fascinating.

I can't help but feel something similar happened, with there being an indicative potential for emergency in the first instance to prompt the change in course in the first place.

Whether or not that's compounded by some conspiracy where the flight was shot down by and is being covered up by said government as to not cause conflict, who knows!

I can't beleive the theories of terrorists and hijackings based on what we know just yet though.

Out of interest, does anyone know why they think the inputs were made by computer and not manually? I've read articles where they've said so but not explained why!

All I know is that on my last flight this week I had some weird ass dreams :/
