Makes me want to cry

Just stored my Z for winter, five months without driving it ! :(

Surely four months below freezing point can't be that bad... do you not own a hat and gloves?!

Have driven mine in the snow a couple times, but what's the coldest anyone's had the roof down? Think it was about 7.0°C (44.6°F) and flippin sunny for me, but I don't have heated seats!

Count on the chap from Scotland to make me look like some soft southerner! Will have to try and up my game this year... I probably won't look too cool in my full snowboarding gear.

To be fair the winters over there in canada are slightly more severe than this side of the pond...

yeah, several feet more severe I believe!

Before posting I did have a quick look and Montreal is below 0°C from December to March! November averages a mild 2.5°C! At least the temperature warning only has to ping once every time you go out.

Drove at -5 last winter in a sunny day. Worst car award for driving on slippery roads ...

Same here... a few days after I got the car it snowed LOADS, and I had the roof down, heated seats on, heaters blowing hot, jumper and hat on... lovely with the roof down in that fresh air :D

Was right down to -2 degC when out on to the moors and it felt nice and warm to be honest... :)

The Z4 is hardly that focussed that it needs hiding away in winter. It is really a year round car. Cripes, I'd run a Lotus Elise in winter. Only an exotic supercar would be tucked away in my hands (actually, no it wouldn't :D )

All a question of choice I guess. This one has only been a sunny day driver since new; never seen snow, always parked in a humidity controled environment, never parked outdoors overnight, rarely driven in rain. Will probably keep it for another 10 years or so, even if I buy another toy.

Think it still looks pretty clean for a 7 year old car:

powerontap, looks fantastic! To be honest, given the weather in Montreal I may well be doing the same!

Do you do much to it over the winter, any little project? Or is it just mothballed?

Full micro-detailing will be done; under carriage (including every single visible piece) full engine bay dusting (since it never got dirty) followed by Zaino polishing of rubber and plastics, full interior detailing. Wax will be removed and started over again with a 6 step finish. Only purchase this winter will (should) be to add an aluminium heel plate on the mat to match the aluminium pedals. Besides that, just covered and mothballed I guess.
