Thing is, it won't be worth much more in 10 years time because of having been looked after so well. Normal well made cars these days end up scrapped for other reasons before corrosion/rust destroy the sills etc, and make them fail the MOT's etc.
Fair do's if that is what takes your fancy, and fair do's if it's a very rare car and likely to be very valuable in future, but it's not really.
In my mind, stripping the car back, respray, and rebuild, would get the car looking nicer in 10 years time from now, and for less cost/hassle than looking after it excessively and not using in winter etc, than a well cared for model.
Different strokes for different folks though, but I subscribe to the rebuild if it's worth it when it's old mantra, and enjoy it as a functional item while it's new
