Ok. I used this earlier in the week on my seats and steering wheel. A few observations :
- It returned the steering wheel to a matte condition
- It returned the seat leather to a matte condition - bit scary as it was very dull, however...
- Application of Megs gold class cleaner / conditioner brightened it back up and now looks ace
So far so good 8)
Couple of negatives -
- As noted above, any scuffs or cracks are now more evident - it is after all and abrasive, so I should have expected this :|
- It has not cleaned all the dirt out of the natural grain of the leather - this is a touch annoying as it's the main reason I did it :|
So, conclusions -
- Works a treat to re-matte the leather, but needs a conditioner after use
- I think I still need to get some proper leather cleaner to try and lift the dirt out of the grain
- I will now need to re-do the dye-job I did on the seat back bolster before as it has removed the repair dye... Admittedly I rushed it and it wasn't a great job in the first place. The re-dye I did on the base bolster has survived though, so I think perhaps level of enthusiasm ousting the sponge makes a big difference to the result.
Not used it on anything else yet but I have some marks on the plastic at the front of the soft top that I will try it on when I remember.
