MAF Sensor / Air Intake

My car coded on the MAF sensor (can't remember the code) so I cleaned it and it has reset. But I have been wondering if I should clean the air intake as well?

I did find a post about cleaning it ages ago but I can't find it now!

What do you mean the air intake? Do you mean the air filter or some other part of the intake tract?

Either way, none should be necessary outside of the routine maintenance of the air filter. If it looks grubby however, a <6 quid filter can't harm it!
