Made An Offer On A Z4MC....But

I say 15-20k that is total mileage, but i am in the process of sticking my E36 M3 Evo back on the road, so it will likely be split between the 2, so maybe 7-10k each. Worst case scenario is MOT the E36 328 track car and slum it for a few months of the year

I think I would be happy to pay the full asking price - but only if they let me take the Ferrari F40 they have advertised on their website out for a spin (although I think I'd start by asking if they would lend it to me for the weekend if I paid full price!).

There's an interesting story on the F40. Apparently they garage sold it to the previous owner for £280k, he never even saw it or drove it, just put it in his workshop for a number of years and is now selling it on at a very tidy profit.

Like they say, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer

Yea..

Perhaps worded incorrectly..

You have comeback to any garage for repairs under SOGA for a 90 day period, whether they offer "warranty" or not.The smart people offer the period as warranty ..Whether its honoured or not is usually down to the integrity of the garage..

They have to give a 3 month warranty......

.

Do they? Where does this piece of spurious advice come from then?

Garages do not have to give any warranty, well not by law. You can get them on the sale of goods act though. Been there on the CSL.

Simon, be sure they use the correct diff fluid and gearbox oil, well only genuine BMW oils and filters. Plus see if they have a shim kit, as this is a giveaway to whether they can actually do an inspection service or not! Plus the correct oil, and not 5/30 which some use on M engines  .

I know you know your stuff anyway, but always handy checking. As the only thing worse than missing a service is a bad service!
