Its never been better mate. Had a full 4 wheel alignment done and its a dream. Sticks like sh1t to a blanket!!
I have a list of mods to do. But also many many rattles to sort out. And i still have not done my roof motor. But the rattles and roof motor are the only thing i am doing this summer to it. I am just going to drive it alot :driving: :driving: :driving:

Resurrected a roof motor yesterday. I might have a go at fitting it tonight.
Any advice welcome.

Que me posting asking for lots of help latter.........

So not sure if I tempted fate or not with my last post?!!
But I did have ago I followed this guidehttp://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=86101&hilit=Roof+motor#p1273363 thank you very much Mike it was very helpful.

So got the old motor out. Usual wet disgusting thing!! Ditched it and replaced it for my newer working motor (well I assumed it spins and makes noise) connected it all up and press the button and nothing. Well the electric motor works and you can hear the hydraulic motor spinning. But no roof movement?? Could anyone offer any advice??

Thanks in advance forum friends.

Hi Matt, can I ask what benefits the clutch and flywheel bring? I think I need a clutch replacement and may go uprated both, if it's worth it.

Single mass clutches will make more noise. But give better feel. Light weight fly wheel well that will help the engine rev quicker. But dose mean you have to be more carful with rev matching.

For me it's for longevity and reliability at track and drift days. And also trying to get the driveline ready for more power.

Really good evening last night. Not only did i realize Mrs Monkey really is the best. She let me work on my car on our anniversary!! Well until 7.30 but that was long enough to make my car do this again. Very happy monkey and i shall be going for a top down drive after work.
