I hope it is mate lol, good luck to ya fella.
Why dont you put some rotters on for the wheels and i would mask a plastic bag over the hood fella as you prep as well.

I have my other set of wheels on the car now Jonny. And we haven't really started the prep work yet but the roof will get covered

Had 15 minutes in my coffee break so i now have AEs in my fog lights. Thanks very much Terry

Mine is not really that fast mate still only stranded engine. Suspension and handling mods only really. What i meant was I am not overly bothered about how it looks. Sure i want a nice looking car other wise i wouldn't be doing it but its to be driven rather than cleaned if that makes sence.

Let me finish one job!! The interior is next (in progress) Then i am planing on just enjoying the car for the summer. If i have the cash over winter a turbo or 2 might happen to fall in to the boot.

Machine monkey, hi I have just joined the forum as I am part of m3 cutters forum and a member on there said you are making exhaust tips nearly identical to the euro style exhaust tips for the e46 m3.

Is that true? If so do you have any pictures of ones that fit the e46 m3 and how much would they be?

Many thanks,

Alex

Hi all yes I am away in Vegas I will be heading home tomorrow.

No updates on the car. I assume it's the same as I left it. Ready to start masking up and getting all ready to undercoat. I have a track day on the 10th witch was my deadline... But it looks very unlikely now :(

As for the exhaust tips.... I am not making any more I have just got bored of making them. I might have a set left over but don't know right now.

Monkey

Hi thanks for the reply guys. If you could message me when you get back of holiday if you have a set left over id appreciate it. Enjoy your holiday!

Had mad night of insomnia. So have read right through your thread MM. Talk about perseverance. I am so impressed with everything that has been thrown at you and you're still enthusiastic. I too, am looking forward to seeing your zed and hearing it too. Keep up the good work. I think you should have your own MM section on this forum lol

Yes money to be made. But the hourly rate once worked out is..... Well not that great.
So i will be just working on my car for a while and enjoying it once finished.

In other news i have been following the production of a kit car in the USA for a while. Its a very interesting story they held a competition for the design stage. I didn't like the original and was a little disappointed but they have had a revision. And are releasing a coupe version. I am now officially saving for this and not spending on the z4!!!

Its a tubular frame chassis and its called an 818 as it weighs 818lbs when finished. And uses a Subaru WRX for the dona car. 2.0l flat for turbo and a light ridged chassis it looks a lot of fun!!! It will also let me at last build a car!!
