Ok so its all in best put up some pictures. All that's left is to put the rest of the output shaft bolts in. Rebuild the brakes and then make the exhaust and connect it up.
A bit wibbly wobbly on some wood = skid marks!!

In other news i was chatting to a new buddy from a drifting site. He has built some MENTAL cars and competed in the UK and European drift events. And he has some forward thinking and out there ideas. He suggested the idea of a remote Turbo set up. Where the Turbo is mounted in the boot bonkers idea that i quite like the sound of. There are pros and cons as always. But i do like the idea of doing something no one else has done to a zed.

Guess you could do that... presumably for the extra faff/complexity there must be some upside to that? I guess in the drifting world its maybe weight distribution but who knows!

The main reason is to avoid heat and space issues the down side is lag due to pipe runs. But it should also be easier for me to fabricate it on a budget. It could reasonably lead to about 400 BHP witch is a nice figure. Plus bucket loads of torque.

I have sent you a PM Jimmy no bother if your not interested

Is there sufficient space at the back for a remote turbo? (Considering piping, oil + coolant lines etc)

Plus when you pop the bonnet, you can show off your big lovely turbo.

I think there is yes as you do away with back boxes. Piping well exhaust the return pipe works out to be really quite small diameter. I don't have exact sums but early calculations and advice suggest quite small. I would probably run a small oil tank either in the boot or under the car if there is room. And probably a filter in a compartment in the boot. With some mad crazy solution to the air flow problem

If you put a turbo in the engine bay the angle of our engines. And the lack of room due to the steering rack means you wouldn't see it ant way! I could just ditch having a boot and have them in there looking all cool 8)

Never seen anything like this! That would look crazy good though! Mad as a hatter to attempt it, which makes it all the more brilliant!!

Haha! I've got a full bill of health again from the physio so if you need a hand mate with putting things back together, let me know  you can then ditch the sketchy wood scaffolding!

Wll apart from rebuilding the brakes and putting some interior trim back on it's done. So no need Luke me old mate.

In other news I had a chat with a mate who knows turbos and building crazy stuff. He is going to do some more calculations. But we have turbos selected 2 x t28 so they spool up nice and quick. They will be mounted in the boot so no scavenge pups needed as the oil catch tank will be mounted below. We think 400 Bhp to start should be possible. The next step to rebuild the engine and aim for 6 - 700 Bhp..........

I doubt I will ever do that as it's ridiculous money!! So one mod done the next planed time to save save save. Obviously the brakes will need a bit of upgrading first.

Please cage this if you run that kind of power.

It would be such a sight tearing up roads with a visible cage and plenty off choo choo from the blowers!

Also would the distance effectively do without the need for a FMIC or would that still be needed?

And meth injection?

I prefer to smoke my meth!! Hang on wrong forum!

It will be getting a cage at some point. Well the idea is that the air cools down on the pipe run. But I will probably use an intercooler as well.

Right apart from adjusting the camber arms putting the wheels on. A bit of internal trim and fingers crossed I have not forgotten or got anything wrong. I think it's bloody done.....

Not sure I don't think I will Luke :driving: mega skint had a holiday a stag do and spending on the car has left me a bit short!! If I manage to sell a load of tips then yes!!
