Matter of seconds. Stick a flat blade underneath and prise off.

If there's a way of keeping the tabs I'd do that so you can get it perfectly level. The indicator only goes on in one way so it would be better to have a locator

Hmm.. i'm not (personally) a fan ... but it has opened my eyes to the idea.. i wonder what it'd look like with body colour coded plastic? I think it's the metal that puts me off, as there's no other external machined metal on show to pair it up with.

... or even with the BMW logo instead of the ///M. hmmm! cool.

yeah gav id LOVE to keep the tabs but i can see machine wanted to seperate his to get the measurements :-( i'll just mark TDC.....

Not sure if its any help
It looks so keen!

pretty excited to see these...

MM how will you be painting the different sections to ensure a super neat finish??

so excited to see these!!! think these will be a good seller for you ;-)

Right first things first I will be making these out of 2mm stainless / aluminium so won't be able to put the lug hole in unless you want them sticking out. I could make them out of 3mm stuff but the stainless ones will be getting heavy!!

As for the paint I was only going to do it to the stainless ones. I was going to paint them lay it into the engraving let it set. Then rub polish the over paint off.

dont worry about the lugs, ill shave them off....

what do you think about the stainless unit, black ///M logo and red supercharged logo with a 45 deg chamfer.... i personally think it'll look awesome.... would you recommend / ali over SS or vice versa for any reason or in terms of most aesthetically pleasing???

I would go for stainless over aluminum unless you wanted black anodized aluminum. The aluminum will take a bit of polishing every now and then as it oxidizes.

The stainless will look the same in 50 years as the day you put it on your car. I am starting these today- tomorrow to give to Oli at the weekend.
