BigDave said:Ive had my M40i for about 12 months now, and in that time it has picked up a couple of small chips to the front end..
When i got it it had been repainted at the front due to stone chips, by the local dealer, and a great match it was, as its Frozen Orange..
In the meantime i have enquired about PPF-ing the car, and got a quote of £1800 to do, the full front ie to the back of the front wings, bonnet, front bumper, headlights, down the side skirts and around the bottom of the back bumper. And the mirrors. This was in Xpel ppf matt coating.
Is this a decent price as ive never dealt with ppf before.

I use a specific Matt cleaner, Nanolex , and Dr Beaslys products...
The car has always been the same texture, so maybe the previous owner used the wrong stuff, but i suspect its just the difference in textures anyway...
When I got the car, I looked into the care of Frozen paint before purchasing it...![]()
To be honest, its THE easiest car I've ever owned to keep clean. Just a quick spritz over with the Nanolex and its done, or if the car is really filthy then it gets washed with Autoglym pure I think its called. no extra silicones, or waxes in it...![]()
