Guys,
Apologies for the terrible lack of updates, I had to fly on business the same day I collected the M4 and was then on holiday for a week the day after I returned (I'm not overly keen to let people know when I'm leaving my house and brand new car unattended).
Did not expect to trigger this sort of worry (nice to know you all care

). I did check last Wednesday and intended to post, alas time got away from me.
OK, so a few updates. My car is all good and well, I've not lost control of her as yet. However, my travelling has limited to driving to a mere 250 miles since collection.
There is a fairly rigorous running in process, 250 miles for tyres, brakes and gearbox, 1200 miles for general running in and 3100 miles before I can really "let her rip".
It's a shame really, as all I wanted to do was collect and go on endless hoons, but the mechanical sympathy required has taken the edge off somewhat.
However, I have been able to 'tease' a little performance out of the ol' girl when fully warm, and remaining less than 5k revs and it is mind-blowingly quick. The really surprising factor for me is just how much mechanical grip is offered in comparison to the Z4MC. A few roads I am familiar with, I would be prepared for the Z to 'scuttle' around a few corners, but at similar speeds in the M4 (and with new rubber), the grip is far superior, doesn't feel like I am anywhere near its limit.
The turn in is incredibly sharp and direct and the car feels very well planted on the whole. I am still playing around with the steering, suspension and throttle settings to find a perfect set-up, but sport plus for throttle and suspension and sport for steering seems to working nicely at present (keep me blipping, rev-matching and heel-toeing as much as possible).
I love the manual box, nice for my left foot to have a purpose in life again, very glad I didn't go for the DCT, the manual makes a big difference in terms of driver involvement in my opinion.
I'll post more detailed updates as they become apparent, but until after I've passed the 1200 mile mark, I won't be able to really play.
As for pictures, weather has been terrible so far so none, although I did grab a sneaky night-time snap for my Instagram page:

Sorry again for the lack of updates guys, it shalln't happen again.
p.s. Bryan is my middle name for those interested
