M2 anyone tempted?

Not sure if there's already been a thread, so just wanted to ask if anyone is planning on one or booked for a test.

The bmw site has opened the build configuration on it, you fully load it for about £47k for manual with all fripperies like sunroof and sound system, no ceramic brakes though.

This is interesting as 1yr or 18month old M4s can now be had for less than £45k.
Quite an interesting comparison but I like the compact size of the M2, where there's only going to be tenths in it for performance.

I don't think it's the nicest looking thing but I expect it's a great size, weight, handling package and from a fun perspective is probably smiles all round...

I quite fancied the idea but then asked myself would it be worth an extra 14K over a base spec M135i for everyday hum drum road use, would have to drive one to be sure.

I think all dealer allocations for 2016 have been snapped up now anyways and theres no negotiating a discount unlike the M135i.

Theres also for me anyways the M140i (rebadged M135i) supposidly out in September which will only be around 20bhp down on the M2.

Tim.

its going to be a cracking little car. like the e46 m3. has all the rear end including same wheels as the m3/m4. I have sold 2 already with another 2 on the go. They are only just starting production now.

Its certainly I car I would like to have and I do love the M4 for its pace and the way it looks but also love the M2 for its size and slightly lighter weight.

A friend of mine has one on order, being delivered in September (was originally told April).
Shall be interesting to see how it turns out, I don't think it will be as good as his T350C though as that was just raw.
Was fun following it while it re-enacted world war 2 out the exhaust pipes with flames and bangs :driving:
