M Track Mode enabled on Z4MR

Ooooooo - now *this* is interesting...!

What we need is a list of the "where's" of folks who can do this and how many beer tokens needed to get it done.

I'm IN if anyone who can do this is heading to Oulton Park anytime... (I live 2 miles away) so happy to meet you there and cross your palm with silver... Equally happy to meet up with someone within a radius of 4 hours of Cheshire to get this done...

I'd happily do it for you if you come down this way, nearish cheltenham.

Alternatively it's not hard to do. I bought the cable and software for £20 or so, took a few hours to figure it out but there's a bunch of other stuff you can do also.

Well with NCS expert and SSS for the coding I removed the seat belt warnings as it's a bit annoying when running harnesses. Got the car to flash lights when locking/unlocking as I'm never quite sure the car has locked due to the poxy range I seem to have with my key. Automatically lock the doors after drive off (to eliminate the rattling I get from my drivers door pin when open) and enabled double unlock from the centre console switch.
I was also experiencing a weird problem when starting the car occasionally where idle would be terrible and sounding very rough, EML and engine fault codes thrown. Start the car again 5 mins later it would be fine. It was getting progressively worse. Used DIS and INPA to trace the fault to dodgy TPS at the front of the engine and replaced, so that saved me a pretty decent sized bill from my shop
Well worth getting your head around the software imo, if you are remotely ok with computers it's not all that hard.

I used the one from these guys http://www.bcables.com/ bought off someone on here. Software installation was pretty straight forward.
There are others out there though.

Meeko did it for me, along with a few other bits and piece. I can't understand why it does not come activated as standard, crazy! Allows a nice amount of yaw before killing the power :driving:

Be sure to do a google search for 'NCS expert coding', there's a lot of useful info out there, the program is in german so seems a bit daunting at first.

I did most of the National meet in the Lakes with the nanny off, and I had to be a right hooligan to cause the car to misbehave.

Wouldn't mind having an intermediate state myself. Is it possible to remove the speed limiter with this kit too?

I've just coded M track mode tonight. Kinda weird driving around with the dtc light on lol but it felt good in the rain.
I used my trusty ibm thinkpad x40 to do the coding.

Exactly my thoughts, I went around the Evo triangle and the local area with some friends a couple of weeks back, didn't have traction control on at all and didn't feel it needed it. The bikes following however.... oke:

It may have been a different story on the original Conti tyres, I think the Michelin SS are pretty awesome road tyres.

I'm not sure I need the limiter removing though, not unless I visit Germany or a race track sometime soon.

Thanks to Meeko (Steve) for adding M Track to mine yesterday evening, a gentleman, especially when not feeling 100%. Just in time for heading to the Ring tomorrow (assuming I get through Dover!), will report back on how I get on with the new setting. Good to compare our two Roadsters, having only owned mine for a week; Steve pointed out mine has extended leather which I wasn't aware of!

That was it, my days seem to be merging into one! I was in a new little citroen, not something you would have noticed :rofl: Are you in Bath also? The coding by the way works a treat doesn't it! We had a "gentle" drive to Cheddar a few months ago and following Meeko let me see what it could do!
