Cheers MrPT. That is my logic really, as I want her to go to a good home.
In won't be all manly pretending all is well at the moment.
On the way home a week ago last Friday I was getting steering wheel judder at around 70mph. I pulled over and called the dealer. I thought it felt like wheel balancing as it had just had new tyres fitted. As I live a way from the closest franchise he said to drop it by to my local , different franchised dealer and they'd transfer the costs.
However I wake up and move the car a week last Saturday and there are groans from under the bonnet and feedback through the wheel. So I went by my local dealer where the service dept had closed for the day, and an ex-tech suggested it might actually be a sticking valve in the steering system - which when he explained it made sense alongside the symptoms on the motorway. Do he booked it in.
So the car went in last Tuesday, my local dealership, different dealership to where I bought it as I'm not close to the original dealer. (I won't mention names)
Anyhow ... I have a brown mini countryman to drive, slightly different to the zed. Had the zed for 3 days and haven't seen it since. Upshot of it is, is the original dealer says it should be covered by AUC. Current servicing dealer is telling original dealer - no - they must pay as it was bought so recently and warranty won't cover yet.
Really gutted actually, kind of sours things. Current garage says the noise under the engine bay was a heat shield ... And yet couldn't explain the juddering. I think it is wheel balancing still tbh but they won't touch the car until "said dealer" agrees to pay them. Meeeeeeeh. So as of yet, I think it could be anything !
Oh also, satnav thinks I am driving around Yorkshire - another reason that they aren't prepared to touch the car until they know the original dealer will pay up. Crazy.
They also mentioned there is a small oil leak somewhere. So I obviously voiced concern ... And they just aren't bothered at the minute. So weird.
Never mind
