M-Sport steering wheel trim issue

I'm gutted. Having placed an order for a Tri Colour M-Sport Steering wheel, :driving: I got in to my car and tried to find out how to remove the trim pieces. Now I've always had black pieces on my steering wheel instead of the more common chrome trim but when I went to look I realised that it's all one piece! :thumbsdown: My steering wheel was just moulded in one go, and there are no pieces to come off! :x

So I figure I have a few options, I can either.
a) Buy the standard trim pieces from a dealer for £117!!! cooper parts
b) Sell the wheel and buy the MFSW for £195 from Joe @ Soper of Lincoln (thanks daveg).
c) Keep the wheel, buy the MFSW wheel for £195, strip off the trim pieces and MF controls and sell the black trimmed wheel.

I can't seem to see a retrofit MF kit for the M-Sport wheel which comes with the right bottom trim piece unfortunately, but even so the kit for the normal sport wheel is £125 from cooper parts.

What do you think I should do? I'd like to keep the tri-colour wheel really but can see it working out quite expensive to do so. How much do you think a normal M-Sport wheel would go for without the trim / MF controls? Do you think I would have trouble selling it without those pieces? Since the majority of people could transfer their existing parts across I'm thinking it could work. Especially if I can get >=£130 for it.

Do you think this is a reasonable idea?
 
If it were me I would go for option 'b'.

If you go for option 'a' then see how much Soper charge for the trim pieces.
 
Right I've gone with option c) and now the black trimmed M-Sport Steering wheel is available in the buy & sell section. I'm pretty sure that anybody with a stock sport steering wheel with the silver / chrome trim pieces would be able to use the parts from that to upgrade. Just a shame that my original wheel was too cheap to do that with :thumbsdown:
 
I have a set of the (better looking) darker 'chrome' inlays without the MFSW if they are of interest to you?

I removed them when I installed my MFSW parts, you could have them for a pint or two?

... or I'd be interested in the tri-colour wheel :P

Aaw, dammit... I'd be interested in them & MrGringo's now up for grabs steering wheel... But having already got wheel bearing, o/s window, o/s window regulator, and EBC disks and pads all round this month, I'd best wait a while before buying anything else!
 
I was annoyed when I ordered my MFSW as no one mentioned they came in two shades of 'chrome', my originals are the darker shade which looks 100 times better than the light silver I ordered the MFSW in :cry:
 
Cheers chaps, I'd happy to combine the two if TH3R4POR is up for it and sell them as a more complete wheel. not trying to profit out of TH3R4POR's offer but it was a right pain for me to get the pieces for mine so if I can make it easier for someone else that'd be great.

Would you like me to gold plate the spokes, and hide small packages of heroine in them if that increase the price?

I'd happily give them to you if you needed them to install the wheel on your own car and as you are local to me, but giving them to you so you can sell them straight away at a large profit is a little off.
