M Seats

Just to confirm I am talking about the console itself (the large part with the knee pads, not the console trim?) If so and your console is black without scratches I will happily take that off your hands mate :)

Can definitely help there. I'm looking to change the top sections of mine (they are a bit scratched), but got hold of a complete console, so the bottom part is surplus to requirements. I'll let you know in due course

You are a gentleman! Thanks very much.

Thanks! Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly... a nice project to start this weekend, seeing as the forecast is rain. AGAIN! :censored:

Seats turned up today, nice and early, so I'm a very happy man.... :happyclap:

They look in pretty good nick - ordered a new passenger occupancy sensor from the ever helpful Jamie @ Sopers (I'll big him up every opportunity I get) and some replacement side covers, as they were a bit scratched. Then it's onto phase two... off for a retrim in black alcantara & leather

This is the kind of look I am trying to go for, but with silver stitching rather than red. Not to everyone's taste, I'm sure, but me likey

Pics to follow hopefully in a few weeks...

Yeah, they are similar. Those seats are from the Z4 sDrive 35is Mille Miglia, I'm having stitching in a silver colour, similar to the BMW Performance seats. Black Nappa leather & genuine alcantara. Mmm...!

I know it's stretching OEM+ just a little bit

How do I contact this Jamie at sopers? Sounds like someone I need in my life!

Those seats will look amazing, look forward to finished pics.

Call Soper BMW on 01522 690 000 - parts dept. Loads of forum members go through him. Top guy.

I was thinking of an Alcantara re-trim on my M seats (to match my dash/centre console). Those seats look awesome!

How much is it costing for your retrim?

Can't wait to see the final outcome!

Been quoted around the £500 mark. Depends on how much leather is needed (if any). Genuine alcantara, more pricey than fake...getting door cards done too

That will be mega, looking forward to the finished pictures!

May be a little while before photos appear... they're booked up until August but are hoping to fit mine in around other total retrims... they do a lot for the VW fraternity, 60s Kombis and modern T4s and T5s. Big jobs...

Just been to the trimmers today, as I've decided to get my spare centre console retrimmed in black leather with stitching to match the M seats... was really pleased to find that my seats are already well under way :happyclap:

The old seat covers have been removed and we've decided to replace all of the leather with black nappa, so everything will be brand new. I had a chance to take a look at some other cars that they had in their workshop... really impressed with the quality of their work. The alcantara has arrived and is a good match to the M wheel.

Will post pics as soon as I can take some!

+1 - I seem to have gone off leather and really fancy a retrim. The seats in the new M135 look lush http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/firstdrives/285676/bmw_m135i.html

Yeah, that's a really nice interior... the blue contrast stitching looks great with the blue exterior paint...
