M Seats

After the disappointment of last week's eBay 'non-auction' for that set of M Seats, I decided rather than moping around to do something positive. So, I've spent the morning tracking down an M interior for my car.

Now I'm usually a big fan of that particular online site for finding car parts, but I went down the old-fashioned route this time and sourced one at a BMW Breakers. Black heated electric memory seats being delivered tomorrow morning - happy days! :dance2:

I've got plans up my sleeve for these seats.... I'll keep you posted. Hopefully a pic tomorrow once I've given them a clean-up!

Good man

I'm getting mine fitted on Saturday. Individual bi-coloured M seats, heated and memory. Interior to match. Happy days :D

nice !! hoping to get some to in a short time ( seen some at a dutch breaker).

but i'm struggling with the occupation sensor thing. because of they are facelift and my car isn't

Was it the breakers that they featured on wheeler dealers? When they got the interior for the E36 M3 that place looked amazing!

Looking forward to this :)

Sound nice - what colour are they?

Same with mine. I think the only change needed is to swap the passenger side occupancy sensor

I'm hoping so too. Just ordered a pre-facelift sensor (P/N 72107919202) from Jamie @ Sopers so hoping that's everything that I need. According to the handy write-up by mac27040, that should be it anyway...

Here is what they look like at the moment...

Should clean up nicely, but they are going for a retrim shortly anyway...

Not sure if I should spoil the surprise or not :D

I'm not sure. I didn't see that one... the place I got these from usually breaks older BMWs, although they've had a couple of Z4s in recently...

Good work mate! How much did these set you back if you don't mind me asking?

Also what breakers is it? I am looking for a centre console at the moment and they may be able to help :)

A-ha! Thought that might be it! Loved the black dash a11y. How did you do it?
It comes like that! It's all leather: middle section is black, with yellow strips top and bottom and nicely stitched. Some loony must've paid a fortune for this option from the factory but I swallowed a brave pill and installed it in mine. Passing it onto Adamski on Saturday morning

Better pic of the dash:

OK. Paid £500 for the seats, door cards and some other odds and ends - including delivery - from FAB. I've had some of those console parts, I'm afraid - but they've got a couple of others in at the moment. Don't know what' left, but I do know the interiors, dashboards have gone already

How soon were you looking for a console? Once my new one has been fitted, I'll be moving on my old one...

I did this recently and I can confirm the occupancy sensor is all you will need to buy. That is the correct part number you have their as well, did Jamie mention selling another one of those recently and getting the wrong part?

It is worth noting you will need the control box from the old seat. The only other thing you may need is access to the INPA software to reset the airbag light as the new sensor might register a fault (it did on mine).

That is a good price for that lot mate, well done!

I am in no rush for the console, I am just after one that doesn't have scratches on it. I managed to scratch mine when I was fitting my seats :(.

Just to confirm I am talking about the console itself (the large part with the knee pads, not the console trim?) If so and your console is black without scratches I will happily take that off your hands mate :)

No he didn't mention that! I was hoping to avoid the airbag light reset, as I haven't got access to that software (use Macs rather than PCs). Does anyone know if any forum member in Wales / Hereford / Glos might have access?
