M seat ideas.

I use a Herman Miller at home and I find the fully electric and heated standard seat to be fine. The only thing I don't like is the seat belt it cuts into my neck. So I bought one of those cover/padded things you normally find in baby seat straps. Except this has M stitching on it just because I thought that looked nicer than BMW stitched onto it.
Herman Miller driver here too

Although we use the Aeron's at work (5000 of them in our HQ), I didn't like boring colour options available so bought a Mirra 2 Butterfly in Urban Orange & Chrome.

Doesn't fit in a Z4 though :P

Lovely looking chair. I was told arm rests are bad for posture so I got one without I can't remember the exact model but I recall it was around £800 or so in John Lewis. Possibly a bit more.

Fantastic chairs. We use them at work too in fact two different places of work have had them and both of them been fantastic.

There's potentially scope here for them to start making car seats in the future who knows. My point was that I don't find the standard seat to be as bad as some people make it out to be. But possibly because I'm naturally more flexible?

I've got the same tilletts as Beedub, my wife and I have done several 4h+ trips in the car and she had a slipped disc and commented on how much more comfy they are than her old m135i seats.... They really are quite deceivingly comfortable! As Beedub says though the difficult is only getting in and out of them!

These are listed as Aston Martin seats, but they're pretty much identical to M3 CSL seats https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175033704578?fits=Car+Make%3AAston+Martin&hash=item28c0d26082:g:tIoAAOSwf2Rhm~aA

those are bloody lovely!

I have never seen the M seats as being uncomfortable, but maybe I a, too forgiving?

I used Miata seats in one of my cars and they turned out to be quite comfortable with adequate support, but they are laid was back for head clearance (the car is lower than an Elise is) and that may have something to do with the comfort.

The guy who makes them, Michał Pastryk, is an absolute wizard with carbon fibre.

what are the dimensions though?

If a narrow bucket seat is tight, then an ergo seat may have no chance :P

The same Demon Tweesk who refused to fit the Pole Positions I'd bought from them, as they said there wasn't enough headroom :P

The widest part of the PP ABE is the shoulders at 580mm, and the Ergomed has no issues there as the shoulders are about the narrowest part bar the headrest. However, the outside of the seat base looks to be 14mm wider than the ABE's 520mm and that's already extremely tight...and I can only move my seat a few inches forward from its rearmost position due to the side of the seat hitting the transmission tunnel.

These are the dimensions for the PP ABE...

ive sat in these, recent customer had them in an escort rs turbo.... these are actually supremely comfortable and really grip you in place... downside they were heavy ( i removed them to extract the carpet ) they were of high quality construction!

There's hitting the tranny tunnel and then there's squeezing against it so hard the seat physically won't move any more, 14mm isn't going to make the difference unless the seat is so tight to begin with it surely wouldn't get into the 'it fits' guide...?

I don't care about the weight Byron, it's not a track slag. I'd rather have a quality seat that is comfy and doesn't wreck my back, which is knackered enough...
