North Oxford - OX5

No worries John, I'll be keeping it until I can fit it in something else anyway :)

Standard fit in quite a few cars and can be found for very reasonable money on ebay (I nearly bought these myself) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125243894700?hash=item1d291e2bac:g:7DUAAOSwDApiTU~F

Just the kind of seat I'm looking for, ok no climate pack but not the price tag either, great spot sir.

I got another insight today when I sat in an MC fitted with Recaro Pole Positions - they felt great!

Based entirely on my stationary and therefore totally uninformed opinion I'd put Tillets in a track car and Pole Positions in a road car I might do a few track days in.

But for a car that is never going to see a track, like mine, I'll stick with OE because I'm a tart and like red Nappa leather, heating and memory seats! :exitright:

Anything with a Recaro badge or Tillett badge is going to be awesome….!

Tillett seats are soooo nice, I seriously considered a set for mine - ended up with Retrimmed Recaro SPGs - full leather & heating pads - pics here:

Seats are such a personal thing though - like Beedub, changing the seats transformed the car - couldn’t wait to get rid of the standard M seats. :poke:

total transformation, i could NEVER go back to the stock seat. i must say , getting back into the van arm chairs is a wonderful thing LOL. The z4 feels so serious with them in, getting in is a pita, getting out not much better, the sitting on the floor feel, the vibrations through the chassis , its ALOT, a total assault on the senses!

Mike your seats are LOVELY, from my measurements, they appear like they will foul the door card.

Thanks Beedub - they do foul the door card.... Just!!

I put a circular piece of soft velcro on the 'ear' of the seat to absorb any rubbing. As and when the seats need retrimming, I'll get a patch of something more hard wearing put on the ears to help with that issue. A small price to pay for all the benefits you mention above!

A Recaro RSG bucket seat would fit without fouling - finding one however would be far more tricky!!

Cobra Nogaro would also be a good option, slightly easier to live with on a daily basis
