M market watch

I don't think the extra audience that the likes of Collecting Cars offer would be especially lucrative, unfortunately. These cars aren't (yet) sought after by collectors and wouldn't attract bids from impulse buyers. Rather, buyers will be specifically in the market for this model and will already be scanning the usual places.

Definitely do not pick no reserve. CC will try to talk you into it. I've seen a few no-reserve sales this summer go for much less than what comparable examples are being advertised for.

Totally agree.
Its the market that dictates the price not the sales platform.
Sure they will talk a good game to get the listing but all they care about is selling the car for what ever price just to make their commission.

Not an M car, but a 2015 Z4 28i automatic with 86,200 miles.

It only made £7250. There was 68 people watching, but only two people bid. Cap valuation is £10,500 for that car.

Someone has picked up a bargain if the car is good and the deal goes through.

Watching cars on eBay if the seller doesn't set a reserve price the auction prices are really low.

How much? :o

OK it's a 1 owner car, but that's Hexagon pricing from a private seller!

I wouldn't want to use it as adding miles would kill its' value, but what would be the point of having it if you didn't use it?

Probably just as well I was a bit limited by budget when I bought mine as I'm quite happy enjoying putting some miles on it. :driving:

Grab a bargain…

Unless a lottery winner or museum comes along wanting the best of the best I find it hard to imagine that price is going to be achieved.

Laughable price, when I first saw it I thought damn that’s an expensive coupe.

Hexagon had one (coupe) at run in miles for sale for ages at £30k.

Think this guy is dreaming.

A bit tangential, but over the weekend I noticed that a circa 100k silver non-M E86 that I spotted when I was looking 6 months ago is still available... and digging a bit deeper it seems to have been listed at around £7.5k for A FULL YEAR.

Well, there's a blue 2.5 2006 E85 with 28,500 mls in kilmarnock going for £7,600.00 that's been on the market for 3 yrs. So it's not just the M cars that are struggling. :headbang:

Talking of revivals you haven't been here for quite a while!

If you are looking I went to look at a fairly low-mileage one in Shropshire last November that is still for sale AFAIK.

I did the same though, well, without the bit about my wife suggesting it

i can't buy anything that needs garaging until i finish my garage, so this must be fate. only took two years to find a good imola one last time...

ironically my wife suggested i consider getting another one.. can't turn your nose up at those opportunities..

Your wife has excellent taste!

Here's a link relating to the one I went to look at:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2113220&hilit=BigWinn#p2113220

DevonPaul now lives in Shropshire.

Just seen the below.

Called them for more info, apparently they have had a fair few calls and might not need to complete the post on AT as it will be sold! Can't imagine there are many 1 owner Z4Ms.

It'll be interesting to see how nice it is. There has been a few cars priced higher than that.

I think they'll get the asking price.

He sent me some pics, which weren't great, but car seems very clean. Sapphire Black, red interior, sat nav, carbon dash, PDC.
