I haven't seen many images of Extended Leatehr but i agree this vehicle looks to of partially added this option as an aftermarket add on. Also from my understanding front PDC was never an option so this must also be Aftermarket.

Service / colour / mileage all look good though. Just a shame it's 4.5 hours away! Tad far when im not 100% convinced. I have come across another Z4M but not to much detail.

Looks like mine.
On the extended leather, I don't think the one illustrated is aftermarket, just the usual oem.

Interlagos Blue would be my preference!
I've never seen detailed extended leather pictures but i just assumed there was more leather on the doors etc but those pictures aren't great.
Hopefully going to view the one at Wizard Classics Friday

That’s a very nice car and must be one of the best Z4MR currently availability and looks like it’s worth the money.

Here's a close up of extended, the full door is covered in black leather and the centre tunnel also.
I think the seller is thinking extended is the carbon leather dash Screenshot_20200817-192542.png

Think on the roadster it also includes head hoops in leather & the part where windscreen meets the convertible roof .
Looking at the pics of the grey car it doesn't appear to have any extended leather , not exactly a deal breaker & rarely adds much value to a cars sale price .

Going to visit the Interlagos blue model Friday hopefully.

I don’t think the grey one has Extended leather. Looking @ RPM’s images you can see the detailed french stitching in along all leather. For instance the top part of the door panel and the side of the centre console below the carbon leather part.

I’ve received service detail on the Interlagos blue model which has lengthier gaps then I’d like ideally but the mileage is low at 26k so I can only assume the car has been stored most of its life

My neighbor had a black MC with extended leather, altho a nice option from new they do wear differently than plastic.. Say shoe-marks on doors etc. which may be hard to get 100% back to perfection.
Worth looking out for. :)

Worth keeping an eye out on the quality of extended leather then!

Going to see a Z4M Roadster Friday up Cheshire just unsure on the mileage and service history. What are people’s opinions on service history below

26,000 Miles
Run in service @ 1,136 15/7/07
Inspection 1 @ 6,216 23/8/11
Oil Service @ 18,209 26/7/13
Oil Service @ 24,206 24/11/18

When should Inspection 2 be done? I was under the impression a service should be done every year irrelevant of low mileage

What is missing are the brake fluid services. Inspection 2 would have been around the 21 - 23k mark so is well overdue and would need to be done, at a rather costly price so take that into account that you are looking at a serious service charge straight away.

Are the tyres original as well, as that means changing them for sure at 13 years old.

Sorry, brake fluid service was done @ 18,209 alongside the oil service

I’m going to see the vehicle Friday so I’ll check on the tyres. The car itself looks really clean and tidy on the pictures just concerned with the Service History.

Last brake fluid in 2013? I guess the brake pipes and ABS pump could have suffered from that with the water intake over 7 years.

As long as you keep the lack of servicing in mind, as it is fine to have a lot of interrim oil services instead of inspections as the mileage has not been reached, but the brake fluid changes are required every 2 years irrespective due to the hydroscopic effect of the fluid.

Looks as if the car has done very little mileage in places but then goes on to do 12k in the odd year. On other Z4's I have looked at they have 8+ stamps whereas this one only has 4 which is a little concerning.

Like you say, if I am to go ahead and purchase this car I need to have in mind that it's due a large service

I think insp 1 would be at around 21-23k with insp 2 at the 50k mark.

What’s the asking price? Mines done 36k miles so be interested to see!

.

Mines got 107k on it and must say, I've seen much worse plastics on lower mileage cars. It's worn really well, was surprised. I most pleased to see zero marks on the leather dash as that would have annoyed me alot!

Would be interested also. Mine has done just over 30k since March 2008, but I’ve always based any servicing on mileage or 2 years, whichever comes first. Being honest, they technically make have missed the 2 year mark by a few months, but only because the car was being dry stored over winter.

Strictly speaking the 2018 service should have been an Inspection 2, but given the mileage I can understand why it only got an oil service. And I could live with that.

My MC went from 48K to 76K with no Inspection service so no check of valve clearances, and when it had an Inspection 2 earlier this year 5 of them needed shims!
