M market watch

For the first time ever, all Z4M (coupes & roadsters) on Autotrader are Trade adverts.

All Z4M coupes on ebay are Trade adverts.

There are only two private Roadster for sale on ebay.

This is not a coincidence, brace yourselves for a considerable price hike in 2017.

Probably not the greatest time to compare as many people will hold off until spring, a few at the dealers were in private hands but could not sell, I doubt a price hike due to last few years growth and future economic uncertainty

I don't recall any significant seasonal swing with the coupe market whether Si or M :?
Roadster market is noticeably month sensitive but the E86s alter very little pricewise through spring , summer , autumn or winter ?
Just my thoughts but if you didn't bag a decent example of a ZMC at a "reasonable" price within the last 6-9 months your search will only get more difficult next year & subsequent ones

Gents, has anyone viewed / enquired about the Carbon Black Z4M Coupe for sale at the Garage on the Green located in Hastings. Whilst somewhat interested I am located in Scotland which to view would entail a 1000 mile round trip hence this post on M market watch. Would appreciate any input if available and yes I have been in touch with the garage ref. service history etc.

Yes I did, looks quite tidy few marks here and there but nothing major. MOT history shows that the screen had a chip for 3 years without being fixed. Service history was a mixture of main dealer and specialist.

Wheels were supposed to be genuine BMW but I'm certain they were reps.

Car is sold now I might add.

Another Imola roady on reasonable miles that looks well kept http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-BMW-Z4M-3-2-2dr-/252595125936?hash=item3acfd7beb0:g:dw8AAOSwKrhVYdVJ

That ruby coupe has been for sale since before Nov 2015, remember looking at it while I was traveling and seeing the front headlight full of condensation. But tbh mine used to every once and a while when it got cold although they are meant to be sealed.

Seems a nice car and great spec but again there must be something not quite right for it to have been for sale for over a year.

Maybe the pics have put people off.

I would imagine a hairdryer would sort that, at least for the pictures.

Yep & probably not helped by standing for long period with lights not used to dry themselves out :?

It was owned by Simon Pearce this car who used to be a moderator on SamZ4M's e46 forum :) thought i recognised the reg

Even so over a year is a long time for a car to be for sale makes me think there is something not quite right other wise its good mileage great spec lovely car and not expensive in comparison to similar cars infact probably 4k cheaper.

Wonder if its the servicing issue.

Was listed at £17K and now sold - to you?

Unfortunately not sold to me, still looking for the right one. If anyone on the forum knows of a Z4M Coupe coming up for sale please let me know.

Yeah, the pictures of the headlight put me off even making an inquiry. Basics as far as I'm concerned, advertising a car with an obvious fault made me think what else could be wrong.

I wanted the best I could get so I bought from Russell Knight.

Ye you did right Russell bought my car

Great guy buys good cars and only has great condition cars in stock.

Too many posts to trawl back but i,m pretty sure this car was advertised by same seller many months ago & SOLD pretty quickly :?
Mroady in silver , 07 65k with h-top , alu dash not ideal on M cars but not hard to get over

Yep it looks familiar doesn't it.

I recall a newbie asking RE its valuation & the hardtop being discussed , i'm pretty sure within days it was sold & withdrawn from the net :? the dealer selling has a decent reputation for quality cars so doubt anything untoward but its a strange one

I'll never understand why the alu dash is problematic...especially in an all black cabin like most have, the fake 'carbon' printed leather just doesn't excite me. You need some contrast!

The metal is cheap and from the base model though and is de-speccing a 1k option. The leather is very nice and does not have any of the negatives that all the other surfaces have (scratches, finger prints etc).

I'd much rather see a car with the 'faults' then have some dealer use a hairdryer to mask that problem. I certainly wouldn't rate a car from a dealer like Knights higher than one advertised and bought from a known seller on here....
