M market watch

I lived in The Netherlands for 4 years and Target Cars had a bad reputation.

Test Drives were possible but only within their gated premises. They offered warranty too, but only until the gate - as soon as you were out on the road: good luck!

Maybe things changed now!

For the first time ever, all Z4M (coupes & roadsters) on Autotrader are Trade adverts.

All Z4M coupes on ebay are Trade adverts.

There are only two private Roadster for sale on ebay.

This is not a coincidence, brace yourselves for a considerable price hike in 2017.

I hope you're right!

Between PH, AT and other advertising approx 35 MC's are currently for sale in the UK, with 937 showing on How Many Left that's about 4% of all Z4 MC's are up for sale, and mostly in trade. I've no idea what that means for prices or how those numbers compare to other makes/models but seems quite distorted and maybe suggests a lot of dealers are banking on a hike. Interesting to see if it pays off for them, and you guys :)

That's a total number of all Z4M's as they don't differentiate between roadsters and coupes. There were only ~500-600 of each sold in the UK.

The data I have from 2016 for individual M Coupes for sale is;

Total advertised 121
Average advertised price £20,254
Average mileage 54,617

This is data for new cars for sale, not including cars which have been repeat adverts from over a year ago such as the 50k Hexagon car which has been on since April 2015.

ooer you're right, in which case I think that probably means about 35 or 8-10% of all Z4 MC's in the UK are currently up for sale and in the hands of traders? which is surely unusual for any car? Is that right?

Browsing the figures you guys have on trade adverts etc it does seem like we might be on the cusp of an upsurge (rightly or wrongly)

It reminds me of c. 2 years ago when I was offered a mint V6 Clio for £17k... decided at the time it was too hard to price the car due to lack of them on t market so passed it up. What a stupid move that was in heindsight.

That M Coupe at A6 Cars - the service history is all over the place. I called about t ages ago and it's had the running in service, then an inspection 1 :headbang: I mentioned that the service was wrong but he said it was right and got aggressive! I seriously think that this car has other hidden issues.

I've also been to look at the Imola red one at Follofoot Motor company....

Not a nice car! Had paint on the back end, holes In the carbon leather near the gear stick, a button is also missing and the front end has more chips than Harry Ramsdens! Not an 18k car, the imola red one at Cramag with 94k Mike is in amazing condition has all the right service including discs and pads at BMW. Most of the mileage is motorway as long!

If you like your M roady in brown you have a pair ( from just 9 Sb uk cars ) to choose from right now
No comment on the prices as that would be wrong but i'm sure forum owner "Abernethy" who recently sold to Sytner will have thoughts on the circa 35/40% mark up on his car

I can never believe how poorly spec'd every SB I see is... I've never seen one with Nav or PDC in the UK.

To be a little bit picky...

- it has front and rear PDC according to the listing and you can just about see a button just below the left indicator stalk on the dash
- it states it has brushed alu trim inserts, but photos clearly show carbon leather

Might go have a look at it when up north!

Gents, has anyone viewed / enquired about the Carbon Black Z4M Coupe for sale at the Garage on the Green located in Hastings. Whilst somewhat interested I am located in Scotland which to view would entail a 1000 mile round trip hence this post on M market watch. Would appreciate any input if available and yes I have been in touch with the garage ref. service history etc.

Seller knowing his stuff i was meaning with regard to correct service regime & the costs / importance of fresh discs + pads
He does also list the carbon leather trim
No longer listed for sale so appears to be sold  it did look a decent example
