M market watch

I have had the DSP, advanced and boggo in my Z's... The advanced one is the best IMHO, the DSP sounds odd...

With the DSP you have to make sure you have the right settings. There was a thread on here a few years ago when a real hi-fi geek had tested all the different parameters and came up with the optimum setting. I've been using those ever since and it sounds great really. I've got a very varied taste in music from classical at one end of the spectrum to thrash metal/punk at the other and it's fine for all genres in my experience.

It's an awful hi-fi system, DSP menus are terrible and make no sense (memo etc)... the sound quality through radio and CD multi-changer is awful, it's pretty good played through aux but software equalisers conflict with the DSP and cause ridiculous volume capping especially on Spotify, at max volume you can barely hear the music over the road noise so you have to begin disabling audio features to increase volume. Still, I guess it's better than not having it! If I was sure it wouldn't screw up the nav system I'd rip it all out and put in an aftermarket kit.

I'd be keen to see these settings, and how they interact with the likes of Spotify with it's own equaliser

Has this Cat C one been mentioned? Worth dropping the seller a note if you're after parts? Not a high spec one, but worth noting;

I tried the settings advised & they didn't work for me but after trial & error now have a sound i'm happy with for all music/radio & AUX

Fader -5
Treble +4
Bass +2

then the DSP set as
80 + 7
200 +2
500 -4
1k -5
2k -3
5k +3
12k +8

& here's the post discussing  http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17407&hilit=DSP+settings

its a boring market to watch, nothing as changed in the last 2 weeks

So plenty of time to clean + polish & set your DSP up  next time i see the roady i want a massive improvement in detailing standards from the last 2 outings :poke: :D

If the front end is stone chip free then that would suggest a re spray. No problem with that as we know they suffer badly from this.

Still think the price is too steep though.

Yea...

Probably had the bumper painted... Only way to keep them truly "mint"...

Jet is an easy thing to fix...

£18k though... Not with them seats and piano dash...

£15k. Tops, and that's if you really like it!!

Now seen 3 decent M roady's on offer around the £13k pricepoint for a few weeks which points to a cooling in demand .
2 black 1 red all around 60k
Just done a quick check on the online car purchase sites & they are offering £500/£700 less for mine than last month  just as well its not going

Yeah, bargain convertible season is looming, turning into a buyer's market. Just as well mine isn't going either... Though it'll be on 55k I reckon by the time the market picks up again...

Yep......Roadies will go down again but bounce again in the spring..

Its no hardship if you didnt buy at the top of the market and sell at the bottom..
