M market watch

Next service in 8k is likely to be ins2 which leaves me thinking the ask is more than a little optimistic ?
£14k/£14.5k if it was as it should be on viewing & paperwork
Plus factor in a few ££ to remove that spoiler from the boot that looks very E46 Coupe

Thanks, ive made an offer and it was more than what you've put there. He wont take it and wants a little less than its advertised for. I guess though, its only been on for a few hours.

So this ones come on today - thoughts on price?

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/z4m-roadster/bmw-z-series-z4-m-roadster--------------2007/3898233

Looks nice in the pictures, owners nothing to worry about roughly 1 per year. I would check to see where they all changed to make sure nothing untoward has occurred - 4 owners in 12 months.

Advert is lacking in details too flowery. MOT & service details and dates/mileage all missing. The price is the price. Find one you like if all checks out make an offer go from there.

Haha , i was being generous & mindful of your quest for the 40k mileage
Personally i wouldn't have paid over £13250 for it :o At 42k probably on original discs & needing ins2 soon ?

Eh? You made an offer on a car you've not even seen?! Bit risky isn't it?

I live around 250 miles away from the car and so if i went to see it and liked it, its easier to agree a price before-hand. Of course if its not as described or needed disks etc. Then a further discussion would be had.

Yep, what I did with mine. Spoke to the owner, checked out details and made a conditional offer. i.e. "if all checks out as described, FSH, no bodywork damage etc then I'll pay £xxxxx". I traveled from Surrey to Liverpool.

Yep me also with current Z & done it many many times before including a 911 300 Miles away in Southampton
Always based on the car being as described in both condition & paperwork

I made an offer for my z4m unseen, back in 2012, as it was at in Birmingham area, I am on the west coast of Scotland, so don't see anything wrong with making an offer unseen, if not described re driving/condition, etc , you can always walk away.

Auto express recently did a wee thing on the z4m in half-price heroes, and were looking at £15k for a 45k miles 2007, so I don't think £15950 is a bad starting point/advertised price for the red M rdstr...and I would be aiming to get it at around 14.5-15k, depending on condition/bodywork etc and state of wheels, tyres, brakes etc.

Looking at whats available, it doesn't look that bad. I'd expect closer to 15k, but you'd be lucky to find something with similar miles for £14kish. Which I'm struggling to believe myself, as thats where I thought the market was until looking the other day, but it will probably go back down a bit in autumn.
As usual, don't buy at this time of year.

Yeah, I remember that. You should still get one, you'd look well classy :D

I'm not so sure they will drop back with any notable significance . There will always be the dogs that appear cheap
The 42k Imola car would be worth the £15k if every single box ticked out but i don't think it does .
Money to spend is looming + 6 owners ( not a dealbreaker but does hit value ) means £13500 would be max target & i would want a few hundred more to rid the bootlid of that deformity

Pretty sure that Imola MR is the one that was advertised for rental during the 1st half of last year http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=66579

Mr Wilks, see your post on the first page :P

If so there's something decidely dodgy or the car has been taking a gap year out
Strange how the new ad doesn't show reg  no mileage added in almost 12 months ? :?
I will say the spoiler looks much better from rear as opposed to the side shot but still don't want one
Here it is if its the same for potential buyers
