M market watch

Aye, I snapped their hands off. Was convinced it was an error. That's with 3 points and a claim from 5 years ago too, with only 3 years no claims. Barmy.

Mine was £350 this time with 2 years NCD, CK matched the Admiral group companies who were around £100 cheaper than the renewal price, but they wouldn't go any lower than just matching. It's a shame really as they seemed really competitive when I first went with them. They couldn't even get within £1200 of what I paid for the XFR either, which meant having to cancel my old policy at 10 months and losing that years NCD, which I found strange with the power to weight ratio being reasonably close on the two cars.

Just about to renew insurance this week. 5k miles, fully comp, 11years NCB....£150 :D from Admiral...or £160 with my wife on it too...she has 3 points.

£360 with Admiral here, which isn't bad for London in my eyes. That Classicline future classic insurance is an interesting one!

£190 for ///M insurance?! Wow. I'm about to renew for just under 600 quid.

£365 at Classicline insured as a future classic FComp 5k miles yr & no need to use any NCB

Same here

Rang today to take out the policy & asked them if the quote was the best they could do as my current insurer had agreed to match it & they knocked £25 off :P So £340 paid with £250 excess , full breakdown cover + 90 day euro cover included (these are not optional so removal would not reduce premium )
Happy with that

In other news....any Market chat going on?

Lower mileage ///M Coupes seem to be selling really fast and at higher prices judging by Pistonheads and Autotrader the last couple of weeks, private and dealership sales.

Jay Em's car? http://www.pistonheads.com/classifi...ack-with-two-tone-individual-interior/3903154

The Interlagos one with 45k for £19,500 privately is no longer listed and neither is the Alpine one.
A Monaco blue one sold within a couple of days this week but was priced very well at £17,000 with 32k.
3 of the Sytner cars have been hanging around for a couple of months though now.

Silver high spec roadster with only 7k miles for £22k. Seriously highlights Hexagon as the extortionists that they are.
I'd be seriously interested in that one at that price.

Agreed, that looks a great buy for the mileage. Wouldn't be surprised if BMW or Hexagon go in for it.

Looks almost identical to mine, just without the wear that my extra 40k miles have added

I've been talking about this one with someone on here, lovely car lovely, but sadly its got an adhoc service history... which alot of these uber lower milers seem to have, i service in regardless... part of ownership imo. But if the cars not moving i guess its not a big issue!

Not quite sure it's a "serious investment", you'd probably see more return on other investments.

Yep, I know the cars have done well with values but I don't consider cars investments myself - too much car go wrong with the plan and requires a lot of investment to maintain the investment :). ALl good though if you just want to enjoy and hopefully minimise depreciation.

I did comment that they also have Coupe for sale but according to their Pistonheads advert it's now sold although not highlighted as such on their website.

Pair of black Mroady's neither of which are advertised properly
1st one appears unloved & wouldn't even tempt me to call if it was £3k less :o
2nd one has been on the web at least 4/5 weeks & whilst leggy isn't ott pricewise & if all boxes ticked out then a change of wheels to silver could transform the car :?

Yah that first one is a bit of a clip, you'd have to wonder if the owner let it get into that state cosmetically then did they love it enough to pay out the correct servicing costs on schedule.

Probably not. No mention of service history. If they're using two new tyres as a selling point then they a) don't know the car very well, the state of the tyres isn't really a concern for a M and b) kinda says there isn't any service history to sell it on.
