Part worn M discs and pads. Worth a look ? Might be ok for 12/18 months.

Well spotted Mr Owl , "contact Paza3 for collection"  :D

A few days later I swear I saw it pull past the front of Ebley Tyres in Cirencester where I was waiting while Immie was being MOT'd. No personal plate on it so I assumed it was another one. Anyway, if the new owner is in or around Cirencester do say hi as I'm local.
Pretty sure that was me, I use grip tyres just behind ebley. Often in Cirenen, will give you a shout perhaps next time.
Very poor show by Paza as stated, I let him have a go in mine recently as he was considering the CSL box, seemed nice enough, but there you go... No way you wouldn't notice those brakes, I mean look at the size of the rust ring, insane

Very bad form to knowingly know and keep quiet about it all...very naive to think it wouldn't come back on him. Have you tried calling him and coming to a compromise here? If no response, then I'd make sure a 'review' of his actions were posted on any site he frequents.

I had a look at the for sale add, and would have never spotted it from the pictures.

Obviously in real life I would have seen it, but that is only because I know what the M looks like and I would see it when inspecting the wheels. So there is no way that would be missed, nor by any mechanic that is servicing it.

What i done pretty much, i assumed the car was as spot on, i was at work till 6 as i was just finishing a 6 days night shift of 12 hours and didn't go sleep till 7 and was up by 10 on the sunday i picked it up, i was very tired by the time i got there and still had a 4 hour drive home, i think those 2 kind of took over really, i gave the car a look over and it looked the same as the pictures. So that was the mistake on my part i guess.

Not blaming you what so ever, if I was not familiar with the car I would not have picked it up either most likely and when collecting a car there is so much you look at that it can easily be missed.

A mechanic checking over the car however would see it if he was checking the brakes, so that is not excusable.

520 quid for a full set of OEM discs and pads fitted.....hmmmm....sure OEM...???,,,be sure to check..I find that suspiciously cheap ....???

My Indy is ordering from BMW so I'm 99% sure its OEM, i will double check though, don't want any more problems! Haha. To be honest my Indy is being quite good about the whole thing as he said its a crap situation to be this time of year and when you have just bought a new car.

I think the last time i looked you could get a set of front pads and discs for £450ish from the dealers...

So £520 inc fitting is cheap monies....

Fronts only, so cheap yes, but suspicious ? I'm not sure about that...

A indy will probably pay less than £180 per disc, and pads for £80, so £440 for parts.

That means they're making £80 plus for 2 hours labour.

If they get the parts cheaper, then there's more profit in it.

£520 doesn't sound as suspicious as some of those £300 Inspection 2s we've seen.

I saw this car at the garage I use for servicing, top notch garage that would know and mention a fault like that. They would use the chassis number for ordering parts.

Neil.
