Could be a nice little earner for the 'Ring - officially watermarked and tamper-proof stickers for everyone who has done the circuit showing bottling points, bravery points and the official time. For those that bin it on the lap a special marker at the point where they lost it and the recovery/ repair bill :lol:

Now that is just wrong.....it should be in a coupe... :thumbsup:
 
Coupe's good but your missing out on so much more when roofs down. V10 singing to 8500rpm will never sound as good when your sitting in your coupe. Roll on next summer and south of France, Monte Carlo here I come. :driving:

True.. However the stiffer chasis would certainly make up for it.

my e46 330cd had 9 M badges fitted from the factory, 4 wheels, two sill covers, 1 steering wheel and two embossed Ms on the headrests. Beat that sorry I forgot about the boot badge

My 2000 X reg 330Ci is the same. M badges on the wheels,Steering wheel,gearstick. All stock.

My Z4M has those and a few more.

For me, If the engine has the marque then the car is a true M.
 
I'm with Stuart here- not sure why BMW can't get their branding sorted out Audi have it much more sorted with S-line, S etc.

I never under stood why they don't use M Sport for the diesels in body kits then M for the cars with the engine .

It's a pity they've stopped using ClubSport - I liked the E46 ClubSport a performance model but not an M .

My biggest bug bear is the need for every relatively ponderous but luxurious car now to have performance styling- why can't a luxury car simply be elegant these days rather than having to look like a hot hatch knock-off.

I put an M badge on my Golden Retriever....she's pretty sporty. It looked great !!

(She tore it off ... I think it was something to do with being an AMG not an M " )

I got my "spare" M badge off the back of my second Z3 3.0 when I bought it. Some idiot had scraped off the original 3.0 stuck an M badge on it. (damaged the paint too :cry: ) My M3 didn't have any spares on it :roll:
 
I couldn't really give a sheit, rather flattery. And for what it's worth, I think the alpina badge looks okay, but come on , those snitcher badges looks like a dogs breakfast, if that was on my car, I'd pull it off. Ugly!!! There are quite a few running around here...
 
Don't want to thread hijack, but I do like the old school Alpina hexagonal dna look side stripes...

I keep looking at this thread and wondering why it's in the M specific section when it's clearly discussing non-M cars :? :P

Well, if you really want them, there's a guy on the Alpina forums who does superb stripes at about half the cost of the OEM ones - although IMO, the side stripes just don't work with the contours of the E85 (never seen them on an E86 body but would assume I'd feel the same)

Fair enough if people want to put M badges on but to do that does baffle me, as people who are into cars know its not a M6 & people who aren't wouldn't give a monkeys anyway.
 
I think alot of people add them as the m branding rather than to fake being the m car. Alot of the cars are obviously m sport trim. I say its more bmw at fault for not separating the branding. If people want to stick badges on their cars fair play to them, gotta start modding somewhere :)
