Mine is getting louder and raspier the more miles i have done. And again deeper and all round better.

So I opened up the back box again to put on the pipe - went for one not two but am very happy with it! I found another chamber at the front if the muffler that was full of wadding still! Removed that sharpish!
When fitting MMs I thought the bypass pipe made it a pretty tight fit to get the muffler back on its brackets so I sunk the bypass pipe into the muffler to be safe! Bit if a long way round I know but I had no time restrictions today!
Slot in pipe:
All welded up and ready to be painted black with high temp paint

The standard muffler has around a 40mm ish outlet which gives out a certain amount of gasses. Most of the after market systems weld the tip to the box a the exit without staggering it. So that makes sense (at least to me!) that larger tips (if fitted direct) make for more noise
nearly there!!
So, Friday is now booked off so I will be taking off the roof, freeing up the motor (following a couple of guides on here) cleaning and drying everything so it all, hopefully works, then putting it back together!
If it doesn't work my local BMW dealer keeps roof motors on the shelf so will get one same day. Hopefully wont need to though!! Will report back how it goes!
