Luke and his Z - Getting there!

To get the rust etc off and free up the motor I ended up finding some Jizer in the factory which was brilliant!! I ran some warm water and put in a good splash of Jizer to it, put in the motor and waited 15 mins.
I thought I would need to disconnect the hydraulic lines from the motor but because I didn't have any more fluid I left the lines on and barged the motor with everything attached.
Took it out and gave it a soft beating with a rubber mallet as I could already turn the shaft by hand. I then ringed it again in the water and Jizer for another 5 mins then let it dry. I then started with WD40 spraying inside the motor and the bottom end also by the connectors. Afte that was soaked and left for a few mins I gave another gentle beating with a rubber mallet. Rinsed it then dried with a heat gun.
I then repeated the treatment with the WD40, let the residue leak out and dried again (heat gun). Then some more WD40! Finally got a 12v battery and tested the emptier which started up first time! Little more WD40 whilst it was turning.
I cleaned out the motor housing and the foam that was drenched in rust water! Let them dry too before putting everything together. Once housing was back ok I tested once more to make sure all was OK then put the roof back on!

Simples!!

Plus I found that someone had taken the roof off before hand and only put a couple of bolts back in the rear U support so I added extras to support as needed and my roof is now tighter than its ever been.
Result!

mine still working ,but i'm thinking to remove and inspect my motor as my cars lives outside 24/7 .Is it possible to do whole job in one day ?

I started at 9:00, had interruptions all morning with deliveries that came in, stopped at 12:00 for a meeting that lasted till 2:00 and drove out finished just gone 4:30. You should be fine mate! Get someone to help lift and place it back on and help realign after.
Where are you based mate? More than happy to help in exchange for help with clear light & AE conversion!

I recon we could hammer it out in a day!
Marius's roof with 3 of us would take a couple of hours at most.
Marius's quad we could both work on whilst he jumps on the 2 sets of lights (which I have no idea how long would take!)
Still time for a working lunch and there is a local place 2 mins from the unit for a bite and cool beverage afterwards!

What do you think Marius?

Gave the roof a good clean and protect too, then a good buff down all round

Thankfully the sun stayed out long enough for the roof to dry! :)

So after seeing quite a few carbon wrapped steering parts I thought I'd give it a go at lunch today...

I like the two tone of the wheel so think I'll leave it like this  fiddly parts to do! Not too bad with a heat gun though

If I had to guess I'd say 3M dinoc. It's the best stuff to use.

Looks good Luke, spoiler progress?
