looking great nice motor  :driving:
Thanks buddy!

I was pleasantly surprised when I got back to the office and cleaned the bumper up just how good a condition it is in! The pictures advertised looked pretty terrible to be honest, but after a little wipe down and quick polish up, it's in pretty good nick!
I will get some moc pics up tomorrow of the tips for the quad inside the M bumper holes :) all getting there slowly!!

How the hell do you find the cash and time!! You have 2 kids I don't and I can't keep up with your modding!!! :(

I just chuckled out loud!!

I am lucky to be able to use most Friday afternoons as tinkering time for the Z, so get a good pipeline of mods lined up and attack! Cos its been so busy with work of late I haven't had that luxury... But I have a fair few days holiday over the next few weeks so progress will be brilliant!!

The trick is to not feed the kids and they actually cost very little!!

I have much to Lear from you Luke!!

That sounds very Star wars

Great work. When my zeds all sorted I will pop over again on a Friday.

 it certainly is and the car is looking great buddy

Am a bit worried about you kids. I have put a food parcel in the post!!

HAHA!! Ill let the kids know... They will be happy :D

So a little tinkle this afternoon... Carbon fibre on the inside door handles - Door cards need a spruce... look past that for the time being! :P

Thanks to those on the forum over the last couple of weeks who made the mistake of not matching the fibre pattern each side! Gave me a heads up  :D

Also got the tips out MM made up for the quad and popped tham under the M bumper to see what they will look like...

They fill the holes nicely! Looking forward to getting it all finished now! Bumper was suppost to be picked up by the painters today but they havnt come :headbang: ooh well... gives me time to take all measurements needed to ge the quad measured up, cut and welded to be put on when the bumper gets

Jonny remind me Tuesday when i am back at work. I will check see if we have the stock. If i do i will make you some We can talk monies if i have it

Good work Luke looking really good  I might have my quad off over the long weekend and get it finished finally!!

I can make the diameter what ever you like within reason. Like Luke's or I have staggered size on mine. You will need 4 won't you? We will have to chat about you exhaust plans.

What size tips are on Luke's car ,as they look much better than standard ones ?

I can't remember Marius I think they might be 86mm??? They do look good don't they

I think the tips are 80mm. I'll double check though. Fills the gap really nicely with a little space in between the tips so as to not look squashed in there! Perfect fit I think

Just gotta get it all on now!

Look great... do they have rolled tips?

When i got mine done the stock ones were 2.5in (64mm)

And 3" fit the gap perfectly (76mm)

But i ended up with 2.5 and 3" in the end!

So I have an evening pass from my Mrs for tomorrow evening... Quad will be done if I have to stay till midnight!! I will be fitting it with the M bumper on and will have to have the miss match colours for a few days. I'll drop my car off at the painters at the end of the week so they have it over the weekend (cos they didn't pick the bumper up last week) :headbang:
I will post a complete start to finish 'how to' style write up for anyone who wants to give it a go themselves. (Plus if anyone wants a kit made I will make jigs and templates for all parts)
I'll post up sound clips etc as well throughout the build -
Idle sound and revving sound for
- standard set up
- no back box or pipes (just for fun and to see the difference made when pipes are fitted)
- custom pipes installed
Flippin' excited!!

Done!!! 99% anyways. Little tweaks left but damn it looks nice!

So, after seeing a few threads recently I thought best to stay well clear of straight through pipes. So ended up doing something similar to what MachineMonkey and I did to his. But I opened up the rear silencer, took all the wadding out, removed the dividing wall then welded it back up again!

From start to finish...

Rear bumper fitted to be able to start aligning everything

Rear bumper taken off to give more space to cut through the exhaust (used BIG cutting disk again!) was simple to take the rear bumper off in fact. Take out the clip in wheel arch liner, undo 4-5 bolts under the bumper then pull away! I was surprised how easy it was :)
Also after working on MachineMonkeys with the bumper on... It's damn easier with it off!
