Yes they do.
Drop the diff out remove the internals change over the gear ring resemble. The put the diff back in. That is simplified quite a bit. You have to check the back lash in the diff and teeth tolerances and re check when it all goes back together. Yorkie Z did his in a day mine has taken a lot longer due to carrying out lots of other jobs and being sent the wrong diff
I have found it fairly challenging but if your handy with tools its possible to DIY.
The only thing I would say you will have problems with is removing the old bearings. Yorkie and myself where able to machine the old diff internals a bit on a lathe so we could get pullers on them. Steve at Grinspeed said he couldn't get them off and had to buy new ones.
