Hello to you all and thanks to the members of the Z4 forum.

I just got my Z4 at the weekend and can't stop smiling, people must think I've had a botched face-lift :D when I took it for a test drive I didn't really put my foot down, now I've got the keys and found the sports button I realised what a car like this can do..... and mines only the 2.5i, you guys who've got the 3.0 are all mad! Didn't get the cruise control but excited about the install you can do on pre Oct 04 models for £60, I know what I'll be doing at the weekend.

I have a technical question but this is not the time or place as I know forums have etiquette, I'll leave it 5 minutes!

Hopefully I can get some photo's on once I've read the posts.

Hi Swold
Welcome to the forum................I've only been an owner for 4 weeks myself and still finding excuses to drop the hood and go for a spin.

Haha, I rode shotgun in the roadster, but drove the coupe! Returned the favour with a ride in my humble SMG too, of course.

But yeah, good day!

Are you responsible for the botched facelift? :poke:

Welcome to the OP - no matter what engine, fun sure can be had.

Thanks to you all for your replies,

Just got home from work so might take her for a spin later tonight.... once its a bit quieter.

I live in Surrey so get some good driving roads 'out in the sticks' as they say, takes about 10 mins to get out of town and there's a lovely road between Lightwater and Camberley, been told to watch out losing the back end? but so far its sticks like glue and don't want to push it to far.

as it goes for the M....maybe in a couple of years once I'm accustomed to what I've got.....although would be nice to see the difference, might have to try a test drive just to see what its like, whats the 0-60......do I need to be scared?

I've ordered my cruise control today, only £58, so thanks for the instructions. Need a wind deflector but BMW wanted £100 for this, the Mrs will go nuts if I get both this month + plus of course the purchase of the car, but can I ask, does a defector make much difference.

Cheers Swold
