Looks to be a bargain z4m on ebay

if you are selling a salvaged/crashed car you do not cover the damage with a tarp.

If you do, you want to mislead people. From what my colleague told me, the crash was at the end of a long stretch of road known as a hotspot for speeding. He crashed into a barrier. (if that is the same car, which judging by the number of white Z4M's - it's likely to be it)

This is developing into an intriguing story, need someone to take up the offer of his welcome for viewers and take a look see.
Its not a million miles away from JE's last reported siting so two birds one stone springs to mind. :D

What's up with you lot, we are talking about " preformans sports car " here :P

I didn't think you could tax a car without an MOT ?? This stinks of being a SCAM

Here's the question I found myself asking. Whats the motivation for buying back the car?
Obviously the insurance company want to get as much as they can in salvage to offset what they paid out. Surely given the value of M's, particularly Coupes they would have wanted £3,000 or more for it as it stood wouldn't yet? Or am I wrong on this and they would have literally let it go for a grand or so hence the current asking price making it worth the sellers while.

I suppose another possibility is the seller didn't have it insured properly, hasn't had a payout and is just trying to limit their losses.

You can't.
I have seen it myself where the MOT History/Checker doesn't work properly and shows a car as having no MOT. But then when you actually enter the proper MOT Certificate number rather than just using a reg number it finds it, lets you tax it etc, bizarre but true!

As per my post on the Salvaged/Crashed M list topic:

I was informed of a head-on collision involving a white Z4 Coupe (possibly M). The accident happened yesterday evening in Lakeside Essex.

Watch out for white coupes coming up for sale soon.

No picture or Reg no. unfortunately.

The accident happened in January 23rd/24th 2016.

Any more details on this? I live right next to Lakeside so I'm intrigued

Exactly. The online checker is still only a beta version, you can't rely on it at all.

How has it had a front end impact hard enough to smash the bumper, dislodge the rad and rupture the block causing the oil to drain out as he ran it but it never triggered the airbags?

I'm guessing kerb damage could do this maybe, hence why the sump got damaged.

My guess is the muppet selling bagged it cheap thinking he was on a winner :) (probably thought usual Z4 bits would be fine ) bought a few parts (ie wrong headlights ) then found the engine was fooked + front end parts virtually impossible to find at the scrappers under the arches  his bottle went & knees started twitching as he faced financial ruin so hey  let's Ebay it , simples :D

Interesting enough this car featured on here 3 years ago! Anyone remember it?

I've just spoken to this guy on the phone and have to say he came across quite well to be fair.
Wasn't pushy, just said your welcome to view the car. Said he's had loads of interest so first come first served.

He sent some pics also.

I've got this car logged as being for sale Jan 2013 at 42k miles and again in Sept 2015 at 50k miles at a non BMW dealership for £18,995.
It had CSL reps, black vinyl wrap roof and smoked headlights so this seems to add up.
Definitely worth someone checking it out especially if you're local. Money to be made in breaking it I'm sure.

Guy told me on the phone that his brother got it from a sports car specialist in sept.

I would advise viewing cars from co part. They can be a little decieving And with a viewing charge of £5 each..... It's not gonna sell for pennies

Hope not. Far too cheap, I'd put good money on the rozzers turning up on your door stop once you've registered the car.
May be wrong though, in which case someone got a total bargain, hope it works out for them!

ETA: even with a potentially fubar motor I see no reason to write that car off, there's practically zero real damage. Bonnet, wings look perfect, just looks like someone's stripped down the front end and stuck it in the boot.
The whole ad stinks to be honest, looks like it's stored in some pikey place, lego houses, fridge outside??
