Looks to be a good price if those CSls are OEM - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bmw-z4m-coupe-/182040489585?hash=item2a62756e71:g:QCMAAOSwKtVW00MO

Agreed, even for the breaking value

£700 for the seats
£250 for the M steering wheel
£1000+ for the CSL's
£500 for the headlights
£500 for the M bonnet

Thats before you start breaking the remaining interior parts and engine

Surely thats worth attempting to bring back to life with a new engine and front end.

If the write up is accurate and there is no further structural damage, agreed that it could be a good buy to either restore or more like strip and sell for parts. A scrap dealer would turn a decent profit. Be interesting to read the insurance write up and the B dealer report.MW

The whole ad sounds a bit dodgy - I mean we all spell the occasional word incorrectly but come on
Also, I'm always suspicious when someone is selling on behalf of someone else.

Just did a basic vehicle check and it came back as the following:

- Stolen: NO
- Exported: NO
- Road Tax Status: Expired 04 Feb 2016
- MOT Status: Expired 08 Oct 2013

MOT History:
09/10/2012: Pass (mileage 41893)
08/08/2010: Pass (mileage 32406)
17/08/2010: Fail (mileage 32406) - offside registration plate lamp not working
17/08/2010: Pass

So unless I've missed something, it's not had an MOT for over 2 years so the accident happened back in 2013?

Why would it be Taxed last month but not Mot'd for like 3 years?

Seems dodgy to me, if anyone is interested tread carefully :)

If a car is declared a write-off and the insurance company pay out on it, do they not take the car to try and scrap/break to recoup costs?

They can sell it back to you at a reduced rate

We need Jamie with the white roadster to go and have a look, it's not far from him.

He even has a front bumper for it

id go check it out but..... something smells very fishy.... to worth putting back on the road but awesome as a track rat, But sadly the engine work would make this en expensive project, even if a second hand motor was used... S54 even silly miles are still decent bread.

BUT IT HAS A TIN ROOF

White coupe GN07ZDH was listed on ebay on 1st Sep 2015 for £19,495.
BMW Z4 M Coupe - white previously registered as 3JHP

Only a detailed exam of documents and VIN/engine numbers will confirm this carcase is the 'real' car. There should be more than one VIN tag but I'm not sure where on the E86 apart from the screen. A tempting project but tread carefully!

Damn, if I had space for a little project that'd be great! :(

^^ There should be a VIN on one of the strut turrets - IIRC the Left one as youre looking at the engine from the front of the car :)

Another one bites the dust unfortunately. Looks like it's well maintained from the interior :(
There is a VIN on the left turret - but because the text is white on white, we've no chance unless someone can magnify it many-fold...
