LF advice on Z4 purchase

If you can drop an an ex demo model I would recommend that as the way to go. The dealer will be as keen to get rid of that as a brand new model and you will get a fantastic deal. I found my 35i with all the bells and whistles advertised at 15k under showroom asking price and they moved a little on that when I haggled. It was 6 months old with 4000 on the clock. I would imagine they will be able to finance an ex demo in exactly the same way as a "new" car as it has never technically left the dealership. I found mine scouring the ads on pistonheads.com which is as good a place as any to look. Basically it is new car benefits with used car price tag. Good luck with your search.

Ex demo BMWs cannot have the same rate finance as a new car but there are some good deals to be had on ex demos.

Yepp the rates are much higher than a new car deal but may still be lower than a bank loan on an ex demo or AUC :)

Tim.

I defer to others knowledge with regard to the finance element but maintain that ex demo will give you excellent value for money, and negate some of that depreciation for you.

I took out a bank loan on mine (manged to get it @ 6%), the two main reasons that I did this was A) it allowed me to search for private sales and B) because the finace was not physically attached to the car, it means it will become a lot easier to sell when that time comes.

I got mine through a private sale, with 9 months of extended warranty left, was 09 Plate 35i DCT with 36k on the clock (Aug 2013), with everything specced (except cruise), for £18k - a similar aged / specced car at Sytners in Derby was asking over £21K at the time.
