Lewis to leave mcclaren?

I think Perez next year could be a serious challenge for Jenson. If he's got the talent the appears to have, he could more of a challenge than Lewis was. He seems far more committed off track than Lewis.

I do think it was a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" for Lewis. It seemed like he needed a change to restart his career, but leaving McLaren I'm not sure is right. Once Ron stepped down though it's stopped being Lewis's team as such, and I wonder if he feels that.

The talk of Schu for Sauber now could be fascinating to see what he could do to help develop that car. As said above, shame for di Resta missing out on the Macca seat. I want to see him get a chance in a winning car.

As for next year I don't know if any beyond these are actually confirmed?

McLaren: Button & Perez
Mercedes: Rosberg & Hamilton
Red Bull: Webber & Vettel
Ferrari: Alonso + ???
Williams: Maldonado + ???
Force India: Hulk + Di Resta
Torro Rosso:
Sauber: Koba + ???
Lotus: Kimi + ???
Caterham:
Marussia:
HRT:

For all the Schumacher lovers...face it, he's had it, well past his sell-by date, bordering on embarrassing, and every race he competes in tarnishes his previous achievements a bit more.

He has out-qualified Rosberg this season and outraced him but has had all the mechanical failures. The guy got pole at Monaco this year and he is the greatest driver of all time.Stat's don't lie.

Schumacher should quit (again) and go into the dodgems' business with maldonardo they would make a killing!

Was hardly a surprising announcement...

As for schumi, time for him to say goodbye imo. As random says,he is doing his reputation harm every time he races lately.

Who are you calling "Random" Gannet?

I'm not saying Schumi wasn't once great but he ain't now. He's too old and it's a shame that like most true champions do, that he doesn't know when the time is right to walk away.

F1 press

"If Lewis Hamilton had said no to Mercedes, their 'Plan B' was Sergio Perez - the man who went to McLaren in place of Hamilton. Michael Schumacher was only third in line at Mercedes."

This is what tarnishes one's legacy....
