I have a Military MarkIV PAM 'homage' as well. Wanted to see how it fitted as I don't have any chance to try on a Panerai anywhere near me. It's not a fake, but some people react as if it is. Apologies that I can't run out and buy a $10,000 plus watch on a whim only to find it doesn't fit, or look good on my wrist...

If the watch says marina militare on it it is technically a fake now even if it wasn't when it was made. Since the richemont group that owners Panerai trademarked the phrase for use on watches and started issuing law suits against other manufacturers using the term, which is basically the name of the Italian navy.

Not judging by the way I own a much more blatant PAM "homage" and yours is looks a really nice one from that photo. Will definitely get a proper Panerai at some point but saving for a speedmaster professional first

Interesting. I only got it last year so it could well technically be a fake.

Panerai is first on the list for me, after that I think it would have to be a Dark Side of the Moon. Looks awesome in the flesh.

The dark side of the moon is stunning although I prefer the grey side of the moon the platinum "Moondust" dial really makes it pop. Unfortunately either of the ceramic case ones are out of my budget so it'll be the standard speedy pro moonwatch I'm getting. Actually been tempted by the auto version or even the mk2 speedmaster either of which I could afford straight away but think it's worth waiting a couple of months until I have enough for the pro

Good luck, great news if you're only a few months away from one of those.

I'm a lot further away but it's good to have something to save and work for.

When I graduated from high school my maternal grandfather gave me an Omega Seamaster watch. I found out in a very short period of time that I could not wear a watch, ring or really anything like that without getting a rash in the area of skin contact. I turned the Omega into a pocket watch which was later stolen. I have 3 pocket watches below. Left to right is the watch my paternal grandfather left me. It is nearly 100 years old and still works. Middle is a watch my 2nd wife gave me as a wedding gift in 1976 and it still works. The watch on the right was given to me as a retirement gift when I retired in 2010.

My Tag Heuer CV2014, i also have a Citizen eco drive which isn't as flash but still a great watch.
This is one of my all time favourite watches - I could happily have this as a daily wearer. Wish I'd picked one up before Tag tried to position themselves as something more upmarket than they are (by putting prices up to silly levels to push the perception that if it costs more, it must be better, right.... ).
This watch has the good looks of a Speedmaster with a more 'sporty' touch, and fits much better on my wrist.
Sigh... thanks for reminding me there's always 'just one more' to add to the collection....

Agree.
One of my favourite Tags. Lovely mate

Urgh, I can't look at this thread any more. I'm not a watch person, but I can see the appeal. The craftsmanship in some of these things is spectacular.

I have a Georg Jensen Koppel 318, Nixon All Black Player and an Omologato LM (which I saw on another watch thread on this forum and bought!), but actually it's my Fitbit that gets worn all the time now. :?

Armani ceramica, it's a cheap(ish) fashion watch but really well put together and with the fully ceramic case and bracelet feels a lot more expensive than it was

I love watches but the watches I really want are out of my price range at the mo so I've only got two:

Tag Hueur Grand Calibre 17

A G-shock just for something to knock around in

I'm disappointed in the fact that nobody has posted one of these bad boys yet.. :|

Tokyo Flash? I have a couple.
Yes :) He he, wouldn't have thought they would get recognized. I don't like not wearing something on the wrist, so I have them more like unusual bracelets :P
