Yep, I hate visible cables, I've got 10 speakers in the lounge for a 9.1 setup and virtually all the cabling is hidden. When I renovated our lounge, I ran all cabling under the new floor and inside conduit in the new plaster so that everything runs to connection plates on the walls. The area behind the AV amp was the biggest challenge but I managed to make it very wife-friendly :lol:

That looks good Perry, but I think a fully stocked Beer Fridge would look better at the bottom!

However, Definitely NOT wall mounted if there is even an inch of cables showing. All must be hidden.

I also cant picture a wall mounted TV, if it's not central to the room. In a corner just woulcn't do it for me. (OCD!)

Actually, I did read your post but just having a shelf to hold loads of stuff wouldn't work for me as I hate messy installations and I will look forward to seeing your finished result with a decent 7 or 9 speaker system (assuming you want decent sound!). :poke:
 
You should have gone to see roger at B and O in Shrewsbury.He would have fitted it ,with no wires ,boxes etc on view.
 
That audio install is extremely impressive...kudos! I went to view a house back in 2007 that I was keen on, it was considerably more than the going rate for houses on that street, but I was curious so went to view. The owner had spent £90k installing high end audio and wired in every room in the house (4 story town house) so you could play your music when you're taking a d*mp....and he now wanted to get that full spend back in his asking price. :roll:

get someone to chase out the wall & fit a mains socket behind the TV, THEN it'll be finished :wink: :P

Also hiding the rest of the cables behind the convenient curtain by no means constitutes FINISHED, :poke:

Let's see a wider front shot if that is the case :rofl:

Hi Carol - that looks like a "curve" model ? are they any better than the flatscreen ?was thinking about upgrading to one of these but Mrs Gov is not keen - I had to bribe her to change from a 32"to our current standard 42" - our lounge is a pretty average 20 odd feet by 12 feet and the set fits in the corner on a stand - as they are so thin these days it fits nicely in the corner by the bow window - not sure a 60 inch model would fit anywhere in our room - not keen at all fixed to the wall as the line o vision is unnatural and I would think make your neck ache !

Still got your M3 ?
 
Hi gov - for your size lounge that will not work properly to go that big. Have a look at this distance calculator to get an idea of where you should sit relative to the TV:
